GospelMK 13:24-32

Jesus said to his disciples:
"In those days after that tribulation
the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light,
and the stars will be falling from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

"And then they will see 'the Son of Man coming in the clouds'
with great power and glory,
and then he will send out the angels
and gather his elect from the four winds,
from the end of the earth to the end of the sky.

"Learn a lesson from the fig tree.
When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves,
you know that summer is near.
In the same way, when you see these things happening,
know that he is near, at the gates.
Amen, I say to you,
this generation will not pass away
until all these things have taken place.
Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away.

"But of that day or hour, no one knows,
neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

I think that what this gospel is saying is that we must all be ready for when Jesus comes down to earth to bring us to the heavens. All of us must ask for forgiveness and live our life like how Jesus did before so that we would all be saved. All of the wars and terrorism now is not pleasing to God and so if we keep this up then I dont think a lot of us would be brought to heaven with Jesus because of the way we live. All these killings and sinful actions will not bring us anywhere

From what I see, the gospel tells us of the long amount of time we will be waiting for our Saviour. It also tells us of how we should continue to believe in His promises and His words, because they are forever engraved into us. Just by that, we know that He will keep his promise and come for us. Those things happening that he said will come near, may be coming now. With all these incidents of terrorism near, is bringing Him one step closer to coming back and saving us. So we should be strong and get through helping others, for He will soon come.

The gospel is telling us that God is almighty, He who changes death to life with a single touch and turns darkness into light with one command. He will come again to cleanse our minds and our hearts. We don't know when this day will come, but we must be prepared for it. We must become better forms of ourselves than yesterday. We continue to strive to become like Him, spreading the kindness and helping those in need, so that when this faithful day comes, we have been prepared for it.

    SEE:
The Gospel’s message is about the 2nd coming of Jesus on Earth. We have no clue when it will happen, but we must be ready for anything. He will come. During the rapture, we will be judged based on our actions — if we are worthy to be with Him in Heaven, or to be thrown in hell to suffer eternally.

    JUDGE:
This gospel is a wake-up call for us to be spiritually prepared for Jesus’s coming. We are all seen equally in the eyes of God, and who we are at that moment is who He will judge; we cannot go back in time to undo our bad actions and change your character. Since we have no idea when He will come, we must be ready at any moment.

    ACT:
This gospel opened my eyes to become a better person. If He arrived tomorrow, do I think I would be deemed worthy to stay with Him in Heaven? Thinking about this scares me, which urges me to do the right thing as said in His word. It tells me to shape myself into character similar to Jesus, one with a pure heart and kind soul. We have to make the most out of what little time we have to honor what God has given us - the gift of life.

SEE - The message of this gospel is all about Jesus coming back down to earth. The moment we start seeing things like the sun darkening and the stars falling, then we will know His time is coming near. Although, we do not know exactly when that these signs will start happening. That is why we must start preparing ourselves for it.

JUDGE - In order to enter heaven, we must be believers of Jesus Christ. This gospel indirectly warns us to change our ways and to open our hearts to let Jesus in. He is the only way to eternal life and to be saved.

ACT - As early as now, we must start preparing for Jesus' second coming by repenting and living our lives as true followers of Christ. We must not waste our lives doing unimportant things. We must have Jesus as our role-model and we must do our best to be Christ-like.

SEE- This Gospel teaches us that only God knows when the 2nd coming of Christ shall happen, not a soul in heaven knows, not even Christ himself. But we must always be prepared not only in our minds but in our hearts for the second coming of our Lord and Savior, for when he comes he shall only take the souls of those good enough to stand with him in Heaven. Everything shall take it's course but the word of the Lord is everlasting.

JUDGE- For us to be able to spend eternity with our Lord we must first change who we are for the better. We must repent for good and cast away all of the evil within us to be let into everlasting freedom.

ACT- In times like today, we're so clouded with what goes on in our own lives and we do not focus on the fact that our time could end at any time, so we must be ready for his coming and we must always do good in his name. We must do everything for the good of the world, not just for ourselves. We must follow in the teachings of Christ so that we may be of enough worth to spend our days with him.

The gospel is about Jesus' second coming even if we won't know when it will happen we should always be prepared for it may be very soon and be good to others so we can enter heaven

    JUDGE:
This gospel shpuld serve as a warning and it's telling us to change our ways so we may join Jesus in heaven :)

    ACT:
This gospel Has thought me to do better and to be a better person so I must change my ways and do good so I may enter the kingdom of heaven however I shouldn't only be doing these because I'm obliged to but because I want to and because it's the way the lord taught us to be kind to everyone.

See: According to the gospel reading Mark 13: 24 - 32, there will be a second coming of Jesus, but not a single human or soul knows when His second coming will happen, only God knows when. When the sun darkens, when the moon stops shining its light, and when the stars start falling from the sky, thats when we know Jesus' second coming is near.

Judge: This gospel serves as an eye-opener for everyone. Its like its hinting us to change for the better and become a better person. We all want to be accepted into heaven and experience eternal happiness with God, but we must keep in mind that we shouldn't only change for the better so that the Lord will accept us in heaven, but also be nice to everyone. We shouldn't only do good deeds to impress the Lord, we should care and love everyone!

Act: I will start repenting more often and try my best not to give into temptation. We should focus on the more important things and don't let the distractions get into our heads because it might cause us to drift apart from the Lord. Think before you act, ask yourself "How would God feel about this?" and "How would this certain person feel about this?".

SEE: The given gospel reading is simply about how we must be prepared for Jesus' second coming here on earth. Before he comes down from Heaven, the things happening around us are purely chaotic and full of disorder. When Jesus then comes down from the clouds, he will use his power and glory to save the people from suffering - although no one has an idea on when this may happen; which is why we must always be prepared. Even if nobody knows a specific date or time about when this will occur, we still must be aware of the of the things happening around us. In addition, we must never stop believing in the words of Christ because this is what may bring us to Heaven and even closer to God.

JUDGE: This gospel has led to me reflecting on the possibility of Jesus' second coming. People should be able to witness the beauty of this gospel because it showcases such a truly inspiring message that everyone needs to know about. It has also increased my hope in becoming a better Christian and living a better life free from mayhem. This gospel has also taught me that it is going to depend on our actions and deeds whether we shall be welcomed in the Gates of Heaven or not.

ACT: As a Christian, I will start believing in the words of the Lord more because these words of His are truly important for it may open our eyes in seeing better perspectives of the happenings around us. I will also never forget to continuously do kind actions for it is what may bring me closer to God and His Kingdom. Committing these good deeds is not a choice for me, but an obligation only because this will not only benefit me, but it will surely benefit our entire generation as well. It may serve as an act of influence to our fellow Christians, leading to them doing these great actions as well and paying it forward to others. Additionally, I will never forget to pray every single day and to always remember the significance of praying. But most of all, I will continue to keep myself prepared for the second coming of the Son of Man.

  10. SEE:
The gospel is about the coming of our saviour Jesus Christ and how we must be prepared because we will never know when the time will come.

    JUDGE:
This gospel teaches us to always do good here on earth because we are made to take care of the things that God made and what God wants us to do is to accept and love one another because these are the things that will bring us to heaven when the time comes.

    ACT:
This gospel is a reminder to all of us that we should continue praying to God for blessings and we should all love one another because we make God happy when we love.

The gospel is about the second coming of Jesus Christ, our Saviour. It talk about how nobody knows when it's going to happen except for the Father. The day He comes again will be judgment day.

    JUDGE:
This gospel is an eye opener that we should be good disciples of Jesus because the only way we can be saved is through Him. We will all be judged equally by our actions so I suggest that we should all be better people and start doing good.

    ACT:
As a Christian, I will always do my best to be a good follower of Jesus. I'll help people and go to church to expand my knowledge on the Bible. I will also start reading the Bible, especially the book of Proverbs because it'll help me live a full and wise life. I'll help people and be a better person.

    See:
This gospel of Mark is about the second coming of Jesus Christ on earth. This will be the day when everyone on earth will be judged wether they are worthy or not of entering heaven.

    Judge:
For us to enter heaven with Jesus, we must always be good to everyone. We should strive to change for the better because the reward waiting for us will be to enter the kingdom of God and be with Him forever which is more than enough to satisfy our desires in life.

    Act:
This gospel has once again reminded me that I should always be nice to everyone around me. I will try my best to be the best person that I can be while I'm still here on earth so that in the future I can go to heaven with God.

    See:
The gospel given talked about the second coming of Jesus Christ. The gospel is telling us that we should be prepared for his coming and we should start repenting for our sins since we really don't know when that time will come.

    Judge:
In my opinion, the Bible is just telling us to always be Holy and repent for our sins. I think the Bible wanted the reader to look more into himself/herself rather just preparing for the coming of Jesus Christ.

    Act:
After reading the gospel, I have been more motivated to be more Holy and repent for my sins. Since it is also advent season, it has also motivated me to celebrate the first coming of Jesus Christ into the world.

    SEE:
This gospel talks about the second coming of Christ, but no one will know when that will be and that only God knows when. This will the day when everyone will be judged, whether they are fit for heaven or not. If we are worthy to be in heaven or to go down in hell.

    JUDGE:
This should be a reminder for everyone that judgement day is coming and we don't know when it will happen. We should prepare for the second coming of Jesus Christ. This gospel tells us we should change our ways, if we've done anything wrong. We can't go back to change those wrongs but we can stop doing those and start doing more good deeds instead. So that we can go with Christ.

    ACT:
After reading this gospel, I have become more aware and I want to change myself for the better and would want to encourage others to do so as well. We all have to be prepared for the coming of Christ and that we should be more aware of our actions in the days to come. We should remember the teachings of Christ and tell others to do so as well.

  16. SEE: This gospel explains that when you see signs, it means His coming is near, and the end is nearing, but these things will only happen once the world is ready, or once one is ready.

JUDGE: This makes me think about His coming. This shows that He can arrive anytime, and that no one controls and knows that but Him. We can never really be sure of our fate, but no matter what, we must trust in God's plan.

ACT: I will do my best to please God, showing that though I do not deserve to see him, I will do everything in my power to be able to. Being a La Sallian, I must know to become a role model to others to be able to show exemplary characteristics of a child of God. I will spread His word, and love him with everything that I have.

  17. SEE : we see God's plan for HIS final victory over evil and death, when Christ comes again. Everyone will be judged accordingly and God will reign forever.
JUDGE : Everything we do will reflect on us when the day of judgement comes. We musn't complain that the wicked prosper now, for they, like us will be judged.
ACT :We must prepare ourselves and always be ready for Christ's triumphant return as we will never know when it happens.

    JUDGE:
    - This gospel is a reminder that we should be good disciples and followers of Jesus. We will all be judged in His coming so I believe that we should all change our ways starting now and we should start making decisions that would not only benefit us but benefit others also in a good way.

    ACT:

The gospel speaks about the day of our reckoning - the second coming of Jesus, our savior. The gates of heaven will finally open once again and The Messiah will welcome the worthy and the ready into his arms.

    JUDGE:
Simply put, we are further encouraged to live in the way of the Lord and spread his almighty word to our brothers & sisters. By doing so, we prepare ourselves for His coming once again.

    ACT:
To read is different from understanding; to understand means to apply in our daily lives. Understanding this passage simply means to live in the way of Christ, in service and communion. Through this, pure our hearts and cleanse our souls for passage through the divine gates of heaven so that we may be with our Lord once again.

  21. The Gospel tells us that the hardships, calamities, and trials we are facing now are all in preparation for a time of peace, the second coming of Christ. Nobody know when this time will come except for God as it is according to His plan for all of us. However, we must still prepare ourselves for when this time comes whether or not it will happen in our lifetimes. Essentially everything that is happening now is meant to open the eyes of humanity to what we must change in ourselves so that we may follow God's plan and do His will on earth. These events also serve as a reminder that humanity can do so much better if we were only to work together and accept one another as equals as God sees us through His eyes. Only then will He be able to work through us, and allow us to see and fulfill His plans or all of us, which is something I intend to do.

SEE: We must be prepared spiritually for the second coming of Jesus and in the end of our world. This can happen anytime and we are unaware when exactly this will occur so we must be ready. Everyone will be judged based on the life we lived and we can not change our final destination. This gospel may have shown the signs of the event, we are still never too sure of it yet.

JUDGE: We must prepare for the second coming of Jesus. We are reminded to be moral people on earth as humans so we can gain our passage in heaven during judgment. Everything we do factors on this decision and we must be ready as we never know when this time will come.

ACT: We must be prepared for Christ as his second coming is unknown and it can happen anytime. Our lives and actions reflect upon our judgement. We must be clean when this time comes. We must take note to always confess our sins as we will not be given the chance anymore when we die. We must avoid sin and do what is right. Help others, be selfless, follow the commandments, follow the teachings of Jesus.

  23. SEE- The gospel talks about how God is so almighty. It also shows different signs of when He could be coming. Some of these signs include signs of summer coming, the sun darkening and the stars falling from the sky.

JUDGE- This gospel is a reminder to each of us. It tells us that Jesus will come down again and that we have to be prepared for when He comes back. If we do not believe in Him or we do not follow His commandments then we will not be ready for Jesus’ second coming.

ACT- Because of this, I now have to be more aware of my actions. When Jesus comes, I want to be able to say to Him that I did my best and followed his commandments.
