GospelMK 13:24-32
Jesus said to his disciples:"In those days after that tribulation
the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light,
and the stars will be falling from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
"And then they will see 'the Son of Man coming in the clouds'
with great power and glory,
and then he will send out the angels
and gather his elect from the four winds,
from the end of the earth to the end of the sky.
"Learn a lesson from the fig tree.
When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves,
you know that summer is near.
In the same way, when you see these things happening,
know that he is near, at the gates.
Amen, I say to you,
this generation will not pass away
until all these things have taken place.
Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away.
"But of that day or hour, no one knows,
neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

ReplyDeleteThe gospel shows that the world is filled with sin. Our Savior is the one that tries to make it better, until his father, the Lord comes for the final judgement and brings the good happiness and eternal life. We live on Earth for a reason, and we should always be prepared because we will never know when God will come back. We should remember that he is always be your side, with his words helping you though life.
ReplyDeleteThe bible tells us that God is omnipotent. He has the power to create life with a single touch and produce light in darkness. As long as we believe, He will bless us and cleanse us. There is no telling when this will happen, but we must be prepared for it will come. We must learn how to be better representations of ourselves. We need to take His path to be like Him. We need to be kind, to be humble, and to give to the needy so that when the day of His arrival comes, we've are prepared.

ReplyDeleteThis Gospel is meant to say that we will never know when the He will come, but when He does come, it will be grand. He has been watching us from heaven and has protected us from evil. When He comes, He will bless the world with eternal happiness. No one knows when He will come again, but we must always be wholesome. The pure and pristine souls He blessed us with must be kept untarnished, kept from evil, for He is the reason why we are all alive today and we must make Him proud to be our God—our Creator. So that by the time He comes, we will all be prepared.
SEE: The gospel shows that lives on Earth is polluted with sin, which clouds the good in us sometimes. Only Our Savior has the power to erase all that is evil from our well-being and see the light of the Holy Spirit. In summary, I do not believe that we should be scared of what's to come, but to be happy for eternal rest with the guidance of God when it is time for Him to come again.
ReplyDeleteJUDGE: In order for us to become worthy in the eyes of God, we must change who we are for the better than the worst.
ACT: When the Lord comes to bring us to eternal happiness, we must be prepare - this means that each day that we are given the gift of life, we are obligated to become better versions of ourselves.
This gospel shows that many of us are influenced with sin which may change us completely. Our savior, Jesus Christ, is very merciful and will forgive us no matter what. Let us always remember that we must always obey Him and not abuse his kindness. Yes, he may forgive us, but that does not mean it is right to commit sin. In other words, we shouldn't be scared on what's to come because He is always there with open arms and testing us whether we are worthy to enter His kingdom. As children of God, we should get rid of all our bad habits and doings because it will all be worth it. We must really focus on being kind-hearted, generous and humble so that when the time He arrives, we are prepared.

ReplyDeletesee: This gospel shows us that all things must come to an end. After the darkness, there will be light, and there will be Jesus Christ amidst that light. All the angels will sing and the stars will fall. Only God the Father knows when this will take place, but we should not be afraid when it does. We should put our full trust in Lord as He brings new life and rejoice in having eternal joy by being in His presence.
judge: As we do not know when the time will come, we should do our best to make ourselves worthy to be saved and have eternal life with God.
act: We have to know that each day is a wonderful blessing that the Lord gives us, and we should make the most out of each day. We should give, love, and serve as much as we can, improving ourselves each and every day through God's saving grace.

ReplyDeleteSEE: This gospel shows that everything will eventually come to an end.
And when that happens, our saviour Jesus Christ will arrive in all his glory.
And he will send out the angels to gather people for salvation.
However, when this event will happen, no one but God himself knows.
JUDGE: But we must not live in fear of this dateless end.
Instead, it is better if we were to change ourselves for the better, so that we may be seen as worthy for salvation in the eyes of God.
ACT: And while such a thing may seem to be such a grand undertaking.
There is no need to rush and change ourselves so suddenly.
Take everything a day at a time, and change yourself little by little.
And always enjoy each day, like it was your last.
Lizzie Jaehn JG
ReplyDeleteSEE: The gospel teaches us that all things must and will come to an end. However, despite all these unanswered questions as to why must things end (especially if these things are good), we put our full trust in God because we know and we believe that He truly has a plan for us. He loves us all equally and wholeheartedly. In return, we must listen to the Lord and follow him to whichever path He has in store for us.
JUDGE: Even if we do not know when will things come to an end, we should appreciate all that God has created, all that He has given us, and make use of these things properly. Example: saying "I love you" to your parents more often
ACT: As creations of God, we must appreciate all of the things He has given, done, and sacrificed for us out of love. The least we could do is to make the most of our days through acts of faith, service, and community within ourselves, our families and friend, and our God.
Ted Pacis JG
ReplyDeleteSEE: I believe the gospel spoke of how soon our time will come. The time at which we shall all be taken for selection to see who is worthy. The world has been messed up by sin and vices to the point wherein it may need to end soon. God will be the one who will judge us and who will choose who is worthy and who isn't. He sent this as a warning to us to let us know that we must be prepared.
JUDGE: We don't know when it will come so the best we can do is be prepared as soon as now. We should take the time to see the good behind the many things in the world and with that we must also show the good because that is the only way for us to show God that we too can be worthy.
ACT: We must be who God wants us to be, the loving people whom He created out of His own image and likeness. With this, I say we must be the examples and the people who are set to follow on what it means to be a son/daughter of Christ. To be the pioneer of what is right and just and to seek the good only good and to fight the evil temptations that will violate us as people because that's what God wants us to do.
SEE: The gospel tells us that the end of time is near, and when the time comes, Jesus Christ will come and save us all once again. He will send forth his angels and release his power, and these will be signs that the second coming of Jesus Christ is near. However, when this time will be is unknown to us all, and only the Father knows when the time will come.
ReplyDeleteJUDGE: Let this be a reminder to us all to remain good and faithful for we do not know when Jesus Christ will come once again and deliver us from the evil in this world.
ACT: We should always put to mind everything that God has taught us and apply it to our daily lives. The earth may die, but the lessons and teachings of the Lord shall remain alive for generations to come.

ReplyDeleteSEE: i believe that the gospel is saying that whatever happens in our lives there will still be an end to all of this there will come an end of time. When this certain time comes whether it is now or 100,00,00 years from now He will come down and judge us if ever we are worthy to enter the gates of heaven and to be uppon his presence.
ReplyDeleteJUDGE: We should be ready if ever the time comes during our generation.
ACT: we shoul have a kindsey of always putting our God first and to strengthen our knowledge on his word. We should open our hearts to him and be able to accept him in our lives for he will always be there for us

ReplyDeleteSEE: The gospel shows us that our world is full of sin and how we must repent and do good. It tells us that we must be prepared for the second coming of Christ, because it is unknown when the time will come. Thus, we must be a good Christian to all our neighbours and follow His footsteps in achieving eternal happiness. By putting our full trust and faith in Him, we will be able to withstand the darkness that is yet to come.
JUDGE: Since we must always be prepared for what is to come, we should appreciate all the blessings God has given to us. We must not fail to look around us once in a while and thank Him for everything, no matter how big or small.
ACT: Upon reading this gospel, I realised that I should thank Him more often. I can show my love for Him by sparing more minutes in a day and talk to Him. I can also be more considerate about my neighbours by putting their needs before mine. Especially with all the typhoons happening in our country, I can give back to the victims by donating relief goods and praying for them.

ReplyDeleteSee: The gospel says that eventually, the end times will come, and that we must repent/forgive before that time comes. We should be good Christians and not commit sin before then. This way, we will be ready to enter His Kingdom.
Judge: We must be ready for the Second Coming by preparing us spiritually.
Act: We should apply God's teachings so we may be ready for when the Lord comes again to the world.
Jose Piedad JG 27
ReplyDeleteSee: The gospel says that the world is full of sin and there will be a time when everything will end, so we must repent and forgive ourselves and one another before the end our days.
Judge: We must be prepared anytime for our end.
Act: We should always be good stewards of God for which he created us to love one another and respect his creations, we should also forgive and pray to the Lord and give him thanks that we are alive until this day to serve in his glory.
Matt Ilano JG 20
ReplyDeleteSee: This gospel shows us that when the Son of Man comes, we will all be amazed of his glory. So we must now ask for forgiveness from one another.
Judge: We must be ready for the second coming of Christ.
Act: We should live the way that Jesus has taught us, and repent for our sins so that we may ready for God.

ReplyDeleteSee: In summary, the gospel talks of how the "second coming" is to take place. That when the world begins to end, the lord and his son will send their angels to save the worthy, the true children of God.
Judge: I find it sad to think that even our world, that this earth, must come to an end. Although it is a wonderful thing to think that a true child of God will not perish with the globe, that the life of His child does not end here, that His children live eternally through Him.
Act: This inspires me to strengthen my faith, to get closer to God, not for the eternal life, but because it just goes to show that God truly deserves our love. The idea that He's willing to save His followers from the apocalypse just encourages me to thank Him, and to work as a true child of His.

ReplyDeleteSee:
The gospel says that all of this will come to and end. In my opinion I also think it says that our world is full of sin and we should be prepared for whatever may come like the second coming of Christ that's one of the reasons why we should do what is good and trust God because he has a plan for all of us.
Judge:
We should be prepared and be thankful for what we have while we have it and while we can enjoy it
Act:
After reading the gospel it made me realize that I should be more thankful for all the things that I have. As creations of god I think we should be more mindful with how we act towards him and remember that we are alive now because of him and because of everything he has sacrificed, this also made me realize that I should give more time for him.
SEE: This gospel shows us how all things may come to an end. Sins have greatly influenced this world that we live in and at times, we all find it hard to believe that salvation will come. However, as what the gospel said, ‘heaven and earth may pass away, but my words will not pass away.’ We should not be afraid nor put any doubt in Him for He will come when the time comes.
ReplyDeleteJUDGE: The ‘time’ that the Bible pertains to may happen anytime soon. While we are still given the chance to stay on this earth, learn to appreciate even the simplest things around and we might be even surprised how God works on these little things.
ACT: Again, a little appreciation would not hurt. A daily prayer would do, especially for those affected by the recent events that happened in several countries around the world.
SEE: This gospel speaks about everything's inevitable end. But despite the fact that we know everything will eventually fade away, we continue to make use of its worth because we put all our trust to the fact that He has saved us and will continue to save us time and time again.
ReplyDeleteJUDGE: God has created this world with no flaws, God created humans with no flaws. However the number of faults we have done against Him through our selfish actions, God has planned every single event in our lives, meaning that with good and strong faith, God will provide. It is now up to us to appreciate everything and everyone He has given to us.
ACT: Through actions of love: through praising the Lord, through committing works of mercy towards others--we will learn how to appreciate and value everything we have been given by the Father. The gospels inspires and motivates me to be more loving and to value everything more and lift up everything we do to Him.
See: the gospel talks about jesus coming back to earth and how it will be unexpected. This means that no one knows when he will be back, only god does. It also talks mentions that there will be different signs that will signal the soon arrival of christ
ReplyDeleteJudge: It shows that since christ could come anytime we must all be ready and that the world we live in now wont last forever. We are all mortals and God will be back for us to judge us and we would live another everlasting life with him
Act: This reminds me on the importance of constantly sticking to God amd obey his teachings this will help me prepare for the second coming . Also I learned not to believe thoes false rumors of mortal people predicting when he will come again since it is mentiomed in the gospel that NO ONE KNOWS
See: The gospel shows that The Lord arose into the heavens. But one day, he will come again. This is the second coming of our savior Jesus Christ. None of us mortal human beings know when our time will come, but it is our duty to prepare ourselves for what will come, because everything we've ever known, will come to a glorious end.
ReplyDeleteJudge: Not all of us will be saved from God's wrath and survive the second coming. It is up to us to repent for our sins and forgive our neighbors for whatever wrong they've done onto you.
Act: I will now think more carefully of my actions. Anytime from now The Lord can come and bring all sinners to the fate they deserve. So that I may be saved from losing eternal happiness, I will exert more effort to live a moral life.
