The recent APEC week made me realize quite a number of problems our country encounters. This is surely being resolved by our government and our allied countries. The APEC week helped the Filipino people refresh their minds and remind them that if we work really hard, it will be worth it in the end. It was a good thing that our country was the host for the conference this year because the people of our country started to understand better that many countries are willing to help us grow and develop economically. One of the problems mentioned during the APEC summit was the terrorist attacks. This issue really puts a great impact on me because I don’t understand why do people have to kill one another? As Lasallians, we are taught to practice communication among others. This helps us learn to love and respect those around us in order for us to receive love and respect back. I hope that the terrorists responsible of the recent happenings in Paris (and on APEC CHALLENGES, VIS-A-VIS; FREEDOM AND CONSCIENCE (Term 2)
