APEC being hosted in our country
means that other government officials from foreign countries trust us Filipinos
even though Philippines hasn't really fully developed economically or
financially. They came here to find ways on developing and discussing different
societal issues around the world. Whatever they have discussed, they will try
their best to fulfill what they aim to achieve. This APEC event has also taught
me that it doesn't matter what country you're from or what religion you are, we
all help each other and cooperate for the betterment of the future. A huge
issue here in the Philippines which affects me is the lack of proper care to
each filipino in certain parts of the country. Some filipinos strive for such
low salary a month and don't get the proper treatment they need to live their
lives everyday. Some Filipinos even don't have enough food or shelter. Another
issue is our country’s transportation system. As a Lasallian, we should think
of how on APEC CHALLENGES, VIS-A-VIS; FREEDOM AND CONSCIENCE (Term 2)
