In the recent APEC hosted by the
Philippines, I learned that it is important for our country to have good relations
with other countries in the Asia-Pacific region in order to promote free trade
with other countries to improve our economy and become a progressive, developed
and industrialized state. The impact and significance of this conference is
that all the countries in the region would help each other in improving
industrialization and globalization. This is to take advantage of the growing
economic dominance of the Asia-Pacific countries. One major probem here in the
Philippines is the number of people living in poverty. Poverty is one of the
main issues preventing the Philippines from becoming a highly industrialized
state. This problem is caused by many other problems in the Philippines such as
the lack of a proper educational system and the lack of proper job
opportunities. If the poverty rates in the Philippines is not addressed by the
