FREEDOM AND CONSCIENCE

Alexandra Marie Victoria Benedicto Muñoz JF CN: 25

1. APEC or the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation was held here in the Philippines on the 18th-19th of November 2015. The event allows different other countries (which this year we had 21 representatives) discuss their different objectives through trade and investment liberalisation, business facilitation, and economic and technical cooperation. 2. A problem that greatly affected the Filipinos in Manila primarily was the closing of the roads. I do believe that it is important to welcome the APEC leaders, but I do not agree with the fact that the government had to make us suffer through the traffic. Most of us would spend almost 4-6 hours in traffic because they closed several roads in order for the APEC leaders to use the "better" roads or the "shortcut". To that, I want to add that the government shouldn't hide the people living in the streets just because it's "nakakahiya". I thoroughly believe that if the government is ashamed of on APEC CHALLENGES, VIS-A-VIS; FREEDOM AND CONSCIENCE (Term 2)
