ENLIGHTEN & INSPIRE
In this gospel given to us from Luke, it talks about how
Jesus is still able to spread the word of God wherever he goes. It showcases
how he believes and trusts in the Lord that He will always guide him through
his journey of spreading the word of God and in fulfilling God’s mission.
Through this, he is able to know what to do and that is what he gives on to the
people of each town. Even though, he lives in a small hometown and is merely a
son of a carpenter; he does not take that as an excuse from enlightening people
to have a stronger faith in our Lord.
I personally admire the message of this particular gospel
this week since it is something that all Catholics can take upon in their
everyday lives. It reminds us that we are here on this Earth to be able to
apprise to people who our God is and fulfill our missions as soldiers of
Christ. A great comparison can be shown from us and from Christ since even He,
as the Son of God, is not even exempted in spreading the mission and message of
God to our fellow brothers and sisters. It can even be observed that Jesus is
aware that he knew what his purpose here on Earth was and through that, he was
able to enlighten a lot of people. Another point that is also evident in this
gospel is that your faith and the amount of work that you do for our God is not
based on your social class in society since earlier I mentioned that, even
Jesus who was merely a son of a carpenter was able to inspire thousands and
thousands of people to be able to believe and trust in our God.
Through this gospel, I can say that we should be more willing
to spread and fulfill the word of God in our everyday lives and not only when
we remember to do so. We should remember that this is the mere fact on why God
put us on this Earth and why he sent is only son to walk on this land with us
and that is to inspire and enlighten more people to have faith in Him. Lastly,
I believe that the message of this gospel is something that we should really
reflect and take on as Catholics.
