"Jesus is our Light"

"Jesus is our Light"
by: Alyssa Abad Jr-E

The gospel according to Luke talks about Jesus proclaiming God's word to the people. In the gospel, Jesus was handed a scroll that talked about how Jesus healed people physically and spiritually. He also states that the certain scripture that he has read has been fulfilled. Jesus is our Lord and savior and yet He remained humble and had complete trust in the Lord. No matter how many trials and difficulties Jesus goes through, he would still obey God. The fact that Jesus isn't even proclaiming God's word for himself makes him even more humble because he knows that when we hear about God's teachings, we will be able to reach salvation.

This gospel showed me that as humans, we must remain humble no matter what. We must also have strong faith in the Lord in order for us to reach salvation. I believe we must follow Jesus's footsteps and proclaim the good news. We must also remain faithful to our God. Nowadays, people pray once or twice a day. Some people even just pray only when they need God not when they want to thank Him. In the generation today, people are blinded by material things and forget what really is important. We must keep in mind that we have a job to do which is to spread the word our God and help those who are blind regain sight of what is important. One real life example is the evangelical missions my church does. In these missions, we proclaim God's word and spread the good news. We open the minds and hearts these people and preach what Jesus taught us.

In conclusion, we must always remember to put God first no matter what we're doing. We should never neglect his teachings. This gospel tells us to open our minds and hearts when we listen to His teachings. Through this, not only will we feel God's holy presence within us but we will be able to spread the goodness.
