Tax
collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus,
but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying,
“This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
So to them Jesus addressed this parable:
“A man had two sons, and the younger son said to his father,
‘Father give me the share of your estate that should come to me.’
So the father divided the property between them.
After a few days, the younger son collected all his belongings
and set off to a distant country
where he squandered his inheritance on a life of dissipation.
When he had freely spent everything,
a severe famine struck that country,
and he found himself in dire need.
So he hired himself out to one of the local citizens
who sent him to his farm to tend the swine.
And he longed to eat his fill of the pods on which the swine fed,
but nobody gave him any.
Coming to his senses he thought,
‘How many of my father’s hired workers
have more than enough food to eat,
but here am I, dying from hunger.
I shall get up and go to my father and I shall say to him,
“Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
I no longer deserve to be called your son;
treat me as you would treat one of your hired workers.”’
So he got up and went back to his father.
While he was still a long way off,
his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion.
He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.
His son said to him,
‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you;
I no longer deserve to be called your son.’
But his father ordered his servants,
‘Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him;
put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
Take the fattened calf and slaughter it.
Then let us celebrate with a feast,
because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again;
he was lost, and has been found.’
Then the celebration began.
Now the older son had been out in the field
and, on his way back, as he neared the house,
he heard the sound of music and dancing.
He called one of the servants and asked what this might mean.
The servant said to him,
‘Your brother has returned
and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf
because he has him back safe and sound.’
He became angry,
and when he refused to enter the house,
his father came out and pleaded with him.
He said to his father in reply,
‘Look, all these years I served you
and not once did I disobey your orders;
yet you never gave me even a young goat to feast on with my friends.
But when your son returns
who swallowed up your property with prostitutes,
for him you slaughter the fattened calf.’
He said to him,
‘My son, you are here with me always;
everything I have is yours.
But now we must celebrate and rejoice,
because your brother was dead and has come to life again;
he was lost and has been found.’”

1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
Nowadays, it is a struggle to be humble and selfless. Especially since our generation is used to being spoonfed and have everything in their control. The young son had problems with himself and he was lost because he was too proud, selfish and dependent on others. However, we need to remember that God will always be there to find us whenever we get lost. I admit, I myself get carried away and lost in other matters before I look to God and realize He is always there. That is a problem that our society should be able to fix.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Freud's theory on conscience by The Id, The Ego & The Superego. Our conscience is developed by human experience and we must be able to be aware of our actions. The father may have seen a side of his son that no one else has seen before, that's why he had so much hope in him. Unfortunately, the son's actions were still contradicting to what his father believed. However, God brought all of them together into perfect love and benevolence.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Sometimes we get lost and confused with our own human sexuality and gifts that Jesus has given us. This leads us to abuse what we are given and not use them for the greater good for others. We can use this Gospel by implying that Jesus will always be there for us, and He will always find us in times we are lost.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
We are often tempted to all the vices we are surrounded. We don’t realize that we are given freedom and conscience to do what is really good and bad in each’s eyes, and of course, to the eyes of God. We are humans and we commit mistakes. However, we need to learn on how to learn from each and avoid from committing it once again. We should also realize that God will never leave us, through thick and thin. His love is everlasting.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
One way to live out true freedom is by following the ten commandments and genuinely loving your neighbour. We live in a society where all kinds of temptations are witnessed and flourished— and the only shield we can have is God’s name.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
No matter how much we sin and disobey, our loving father will always find a way to accept us for who we are. We should understand and accept with our sincerest gratitude on how the bible, coming from the word of God, that it actually abhors the fact of being sexually inclined to the homosexuals. We should understand that human sexuality is what defines our being— that we are created equally and uniquely in God’s eyes.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
The challenges presented in this gospel are the lures that material wealth and power can present to today's youth. With the arrival of technology and being the generation that can manipulate it best, we are suddenly given power when as teenagers we should have been obedient to our elders. The gospel shows how today's generation can easily be corrupted but it also tells us that we must learn to forgive and to learn from our mistakes.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
The key topic that can be discussed here from the REVALIDA is Freud's theory on conscience. Our conscience is not perfect. Instead it grows with us and learns with us as experience life first hand. It shows the younger son's folly but it shows how the father is an experienced kind man who forgives his son who has already learned his lesson.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
This gospel shows how easily younger inexperienced people can be easily corrupted. When presented with a lot of power we often do not know how to handle it and this leads to our ruin. We must be ready to learn from our mistakes and grow as God's children.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
The challenge that we can see is the value of having more power and wealth with the arrival of technology in our world. We should be satisfied with what we have already because we only get to live once in this world.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE. DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
The key topic that is seen is Freud's theory on conscience. Our conscience isn't the best immediately but it grows and learns overtime.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY
Having a materialistic thinking isn't good. We should be satisfied and ready to learn from all the mistakes that we have.
Gospel Reflection #4

1. What are the challenges of this Gospel in today's society particularly to the young people like you?
• The Gospel challenges young people like me in today's society to be humble. In fact, according to the Gospel, due to the pride of the father's younger son, he found himself in a dire situation because of being a spendthrift — where he squandered the inheritance of his father on a life of dissipation. For me, the challenge of the Gospel is very important. Young people nowadays must understand that life is not at all easy and that money is earned from toil and hard work. They must learn how to budget, save and forecast what they will be and how they will live in the future in order to prevent what happened to the father's young son in the Gospel to happen to them. Additionally, we must remember that no matter how "bad" or unfortunate you are, there will always be people who are ready to accept you, especially if these people are your parents. You just have to repent, make a change, take the challenge and most importantly — trust and have faith in God.
2. What key concepts from the Revalida topics can you best apply here? Discuss thoroughly.
• Key concepts that can be best applied here based from the Revalida topics include the concept of True Freedom. In the Gospel, the father's younger son was not able to apply in his life True Freedom because his actions caused him misery in the end. In order to fully live out True Freedom, we must not only follow God, but also make sure that our actions will not harm ourselves and other people. In addition, the concept of Conscience may also be applied because conscience helps us determine whether an action that we undertake is morally right or wrong.
3. How can this Gospel address the obstacles to human sexuality?
• The Gospel addresses the obstacles to human sexuality by showing us how young, innocent and inexperienced people can easily be fooled into thinking that life is easy and that money is only made for the sole purpose of spending. When presented with a lot of power, money, fame or material objects, a person is tempted to live like a king or a queen and is often confused and misguided as to how to use this properly for his or her betterment. In relation to the obstacles to human sexuality, young people nowadays must resist their temptations when it comes to sex and intimate relationships because this may cause their misery, pain and grief in the end, just like how the young man was unable to resist his temptation to splurge.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
Nowadays, the struggle is such a reality when regarding to sins and such, we have to realize that we have the freedom to choose from wrong and right and base our acts on that alone. We need to remember to learn from our and other's past mistakes, so that we can prevent ourselves from wrongdoings again.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Freedom-- I believe that Freedom is one of the many major key concepts that I can apply here because we can choose to live out the best in ourselves and to set out as examples to the next generations by following the ten commandments and loving our neighbors. We must be selfless and humble, for the sake of others.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
I believe that this particular gospel can address the obstacles to human sexuality by being able to understand and accept those who are, just in the slightest, different from us. Our sexuality is part of what makes a person, they cannot hide it—and they shouldn't have to because God treats us all equally, so why can't we do the same?
1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
ReplyDeleteThe challenge that we can see is the value of having more power and wealth which can prevent us from being contented and humble. This gospel shows how our generation can be easily changed by the environment we are in. But, the main lesson is that we should always be contented and humble no matter what.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE. DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
The topic on conscience can be best applied here because we should remain conscious with all of our actions. As we grow older our conscience becomes more mature so as time passes we learn how to omit mistakes.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY
This gospel shows us that we people can easily get influenced from things even if they aren't good for us.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
-Many of the challenges we face today are those brought upon by the ever changing society which grows and nurtures everyday. There is constant change that can be seen in our society today and the misunderstandings of these changes may lead to discriminations or them being left out. As we relate this to the moral in the Gospel which is acceptance and forgiveness as we need both of these to properly understand the changes we see in our society such as the example of LGBT community. Since they have been more pronounced in our society, we must learn how to accept them and respect them just as we do to any other person as we are all equal in the eyes of God.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
-We can relate freedom as in the view of Piaget as he defined freedom as a child growing through experiences and changing. In our society today many aspects have changed as compared to previous generations. Many aspects which weren't accepted in society may now be and things we didn't perceive to happen have, so we must keep our mind open and be ready for any type of change. We may also relate the view of John Locke in the nurture theory of life as we are shaped by our experiences, social interaction and our environment. As we learn to live in a presently shaped environment we are then more open to change and ready to easily accept it more.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
-The Gospel relates to acceptance and forgiveness, in human sexuality there are sub-categories such as homosexuality which define a person by their sexual preference. As we related homosexuality and the lessons we have learned form the Gospel, we must come to see that that are needed to be accepted and we need to seek forgiveness from them as we have misunderstood, discriminated or hurt them by disregarded them or seeing them as less. When we learn to accept them, we can easily integrate them into our society which is turning out well such as in our already present lives and times. Although there are still cases where they are persecuted or punished due to this. This shouldn't be the case as we should also forgive them as they have not done anything wrong and only seek to be understood. Meanwhile we must also seek forgiveness from them as we are committing wrongdoings towards them.

True freedom is by following the ten commandments and genuinely love your neighbour. We live in a society where all kinds of temptations are done and witnessed and the only protection we can have is God.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Sometimes we get lost and confused with our own human sexuality. This leads us to abuse what we are given. We can use this Gospel by implying that Jesus will always be there for us, and He will always find us in times we are lost and forgive us.
1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
ReplyDeleteWe must be humble and thankful in what we have. Valuing what our parents do and give us is a must and will go a long way. No matter how much money or how many different things we gain or lose, the most important thing is being together and one with our families. Nowadays, boastful spoiled rich kids tend to boss their parents and ask for whatever they want but material things vanish when we die but treating our parents well will give us a much better life with the Lord.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Each and everyone of us has been given freedom. That is why freedom is the best topic to be applied in this gospel. The son had the freedom of either pushing his father away and getting his share of the state. And look what it resulted him, he had to go through worst then everything that had happened to him. He had to learn things the hard way and that is when he realized that he needs his father more than anything else.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Being greedy is sometimes in our nature and it is very hard temptation to not give in to. Greediness can be shown and present in different ways, such as in human sexuality, it can be seen if we restrict our loved one from doing a certain thing for our own good or just because we do not want. We are given freedom, however, we must use it wisely and smartly because after all we do not have forever.
1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
ReplyDeleteWe are often tempted to all the worldly things around us which leads us to sin. We don’t realize that we are given freedom and conscience to be able to do what is correct and be able to avoid sin. We are humans and we commit mistakes. We should also be able to realize that God will always be here for us through rough times and even through the nice ones so we should always trust in him and believe in him cause he wont leave us.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
One way to live out true freedom is by following the ten commandments and act like jesus to each and every person. We live in a society where sin can clearly be seen and is really visible so to be able to fight back from this we need to trust in god cause he is our shield and our sword against sin.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
This gospel can address the obstacles because as we know we sin every day. However we should always keep in mind that we will be ok cause god is always with us and he will always defend us from sin.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
The challenge is to be humble and avoid temptation. In this gospel, we must learn to be selfless and be content with what we are blessed with. God will suffice and always provide.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
A concept that can be applied in this gospel is true freedom. To live out true freedom is to live by the Ten Commandments.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Despite the sins we may commit against God’s commandments, He is understanding and still accepts us as we are. Being defined by human sexuality means that we are all equally loved by Him.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
The gospel teaches us to be humble with the blessings we receive in life. Teenagers tend to spend their money on material objects. Little do they realize that these possessions will not matter at our death. We must learn to avoid the Hedonistic view and learn that there are other things more important in life. We must learn humility and understand that life is not at all easy and that money is earned from toil and hard work.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Key concepts that can be best applied here based from the Revalida topics include the concept of Conscience and Basic Anthropology. Piaget defined freedom as a child growing through experiences and changing. In addition, Human beings are historical, we develop overtime. Therefore, in order for us to develop as true Christians, we must learn from our mistakes and use it to improve ourselves.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
We should understand that human sexuality is what defines our being. We are created equally and uniquely in God’s eyes. Thus, when we make mistakes and sin, this does not mean that we are not worthy of his love. Like the father in the Gospel, God will always forgive and accept us even if we have sinned. All He is asks is that you acknowledge that you have sinned and repent your actions.
1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
ReplyDeleteAs young as we are, there are times where we feel we are stubborn and choose to do what we want and have a one track mind as we tend to not be open to the people around us who just want to shed some light into our lives and guide us to the right path. There are many times where we allow ourselves to succumb into temptation and not consider what God wants for us in our lives.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
A key concept that can be applied to this gospel is living in true freedom in under the light of God's love. If we are to follow the ten commandments and truly love one another as God has loved us, then that is when we can truly be able to achieve a life of happiness.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
There are times when we may feel lost or confused with our own sexuality, which may affect our choices and consequently, we may tend to abuse the gift of human sexuality which God has bestowed up on us. However, God's love is perfect and no matter how many wrong turns we take, he will always take us back in with open arms because of His unconditional love.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
The challenge of this gospel is to be humble. Because of the younger son's pride, he was careless about the inheritance from his father. One lesson here is that we should always appreciate God's blessings. He will always be there for us. Another lesson is to be humble because bad things could happen if you are careless about your blessings.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Key concepts that can be applied are true freedom and conscience. Our freedom should be used wisely. The younger son did not use his true freedom which led him to suffering. True freedom should be used by doing things that you know will cause good things to happen. Conscience is used because it is how we know if something we are doing is right or wrong.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
This gospel showed that in the end, when the younger son came back to his father, he was still accepted. One obstacle to human sexuality is discrimination. Homosexuals are not being accepted in the society in some places. We must learn to treat them with respect because we should accept who they are.

1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
Ans: Challenges that we are experiencing are because of the bad temptation sin our surroundings. We are tempted to do the bad things even though we could still avoid them. We were given freedom and conscience by God, meaning we should think before we act and know what is right. However, we human beings make lots of sins and mistakes that sometime we can't avoid. What we should do is to go through it, learn from it, and avoid it from happening once again. The challenges given by God are his way of training us to become better people in the future.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Ans: Based on the gospel a topic from the revalida that best applies it is the topic of conscience. Conscience helps us determine to do the things that are morally good or morally wrong. Our conscience isn't always right meaning we should think things thoroughly in order to avoid sin.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Ans: The gospel shows obstacles of human sexuality because of the way how inexperienced and spoon fed children and young adults think about living the real hardships of life. In our early days we think we can live a good life forever because our parents are always their to give us the things we need and want. We should always know that their are still many things that we need to learn in life and we shouldn't just take life for granted but to work harder to live better on our own.

ReplyDelete1. What are the challenges of this Gospel in today's society particularly to the young people like you?
The Gospel challenges young people like me in today's society to be grateful for one's blessings. The younger brother chose to be greedy and lustful because he believed that it is the only way one can really live life to the fullest. On the other hand, we have the older brother, who chose to be envious instead of being joyful of his brother's return to his father. The father can be related the forgiving and merciful people of the society, those who are more than glad to accept and forgive people as long as they repent and turn away from sin.
2. What key concepts from the Revalida topics can you best apply here? Discuss thoroughly.
The topic that is related to this Gospel would be true freedom. We are given a gift to share with others with faith and responsibility. The Gospel shows how free we are to choose what we want but God calls us to be faithful to Him and His commandments in order to exemplify our true freedom just as Jesus did.
3. How can this Gospel address the obstacles to human sexuality?
One obstacle that can be a hindrance to human sexuality would be the vices that the younger brother got himself into. Drinking, sex, and drugs are obstacles to our human sexuality. It is our responsibility as God's children to use this responsibly and in line with the Gospel values. We are all called to be examples of His gifts and we need to be aware that faithfulness and repentance is what God wants from us.

1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
-The current generation is believed by others to be very unorthodox. In a sense that we like to be given all of our needs and wants, but we also wish to be independent. And this is very unfair, especially to those who have sacrificed so much in order for us to live a comfortable lifestyle. The gospel outwardly talks about how we fail to show appreciation for all the blessings we have been given, and what makes this issue worse is that while we do this, we continue to sin and turn our backs to God.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
-Conscience and morality are the most relevant concepts here. And this is simply because the gospel talks about how the son chooses to leave his home in order to live a life that pleasures him and satisfies his wants. But he didn’t express true Christian morality when he left his father, because he did not think of the impact it would have on his family, but instead he only thought of himself and how he would be able to get everything he desired.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
-But despite everything that the son did against his father, his father still managed to forgive him. Based on this, we must learn to be forgiving and accepting. We often push others away if they do something we do not approve of, but in reality, we must learn to become more accepting of others, regardless of their traits. This is how we should address homosexuality, though Christianity as a whole does not really approve of it, we must learn to love our fellow followers of Christ. Instead of shunning them, we must lern to treat them like any other person, because what matters most is how to they are chaste and how they can express their love for God.
1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?

2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
- Revalida concept that ca be applied here is freedom. Freedom is your right to choose between right and wrong. Conscience can be applied in the same way.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
- Young people should always stand by what they believe in and they should abstain from doing things that aren’t right especially at our age.

The challenges that we faced today are the developments of the society where people have power uses it for themselves but not for the people.Having too much power and wealth can prevent us from being humble and contented with our things. What we should do as people in our society is to be humble and contented in what we have.

Conscience can be the best topic to be viewed here because we should be conscious with our actions where we should use our conscience to do the right thing. As time passes by we get older where our conscience matures as time passes by where we can omit our mistakes.

This gospel addresses that man and woman are created equally and we should respect each other's sexuality and we shouldn't judge each other for their mistakes because only God can judge them.

We shouldn’t let technology or wealth take control over us because these are just materials and undeniably, it hinders us from having distinct connections with everyone else. The environment that we are all in have a lot of factors that can affect the way we relate to people and in which, instead we should have distinct connections with others. We should be humble and selfless, and of course, loving and caring for one another! Technology and wealth won’t be there forever, but in and with God – that is where the love lasts forever.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Freedom applies since our choices lead to what happen in the nearing future and it shapes it. What we choose is the one that leads us to where we should be. It is either we choose to live for the wealth, or to live in a genuine and selfless life with God’s love. This is one thing that the “freedom from” concept applies to, specifically the interior threats.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
In freedom, we shouldn’t abuse this and the human sexuality given to us. Human sexuality is part of our life and again, God created us equally in His own image and He loves us dearly and eternally. No matter how much we can think that we can be not worthy of the love He pours down on us because of our sins, God will always love us endlessly.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
- People such as the youth need to understand that our God is a loving God, and that we should love him back, for it is the love and forgiveness of God that reunites us in heaven.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
- Conscience is something from the revalida that we can apply here. By listening to our conscience, it may help us find the road that leads back to the father.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
- The hedonistic view of sexuality is something that we should try to avoid as much as we can, and as we grow, we should grow in the love of our Lord God.

1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
- In today's society, the youth are often jealous of what others have but they do not realize all the blessings that they have. The gospel also shows that we must be more humble and we should learn and grow from our mistakes.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
- The topic from the revalida that may be applied here is the topic about true freedom. We are given the freedom to choose our own decisions in life. We must always choose to do good. Also, ww should respect other people's freedom because that is one of the ways for us to achieve true freedom.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY
- Our sexuality is what defines who we are. In the eyes of God, we are all equal. Even if we sin, God will always there to accept us again if we return because He is very merciful. But we must never fail to repent for our sins for us to be truly forgiven.

The challenges in this gospel are the lures that material things and power can present to the youth. With the coming of technology and being the generation that can control it best, we are suddenly given power when as teenagers we should not be disrespectful to our elders. The gospel shows how our generation can easily be swayed but it also tells us that we must learn how to forgive and to learn the lesson from our mistakes

Freud’s theory on conscience may be applied here. Our conscience isn’t perfect. But, it grows with us. It shows the younger son's but it shows how the father is a kind person who forgives his son who has already learned the lesson.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
This gospel shows how easily younger people be swayed. When presented with power we often don’t know how to manage it and this leads to the downfall. We must be ready to learn from our mistakes and grow from it.

- The challenge in this gospel is the alarming need for us to repent. One day judgement day will come and God will separate those whom are good from those who aren't. We are just like the fig tree in the parable, and Jesus is the fertilizer. It is up to us if we bear fruit or not, if not we will get cut down and die.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
- The key concept that can be applied here is conscience, because it is our conscience that will tell us if what we are doing is right or wrong. So everytime we sin there is always that constant voice that will tell you that what you are doing is wrong. We are all sinners, but those who will repent will be saved by God.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
- This gospel calls us to repent and change our ways. For human sexuality, there are many hindrances and obstacles to chastity such as use of contraceptives, prostitution, watching pornography. All of these actions lead us to stray away from God and be sinful. Yet God gives us the chance to repent because he wants us to be renewed and to bear good fruit and not get cut down because that would be very unfortunate.

1.) What are the challenges of this gospel in today’s society particularly to the young people like you?
All of us tend to be tempted and we fail to realize that God gave us freedom and conscience to do whatever we want. We are only humans. We are not perfect so it’s okay to commit mistakes. However, we need to learn from them to avoid committing the same mistakes.
2.) What key concepts from the Revalida topics can you best apply here. Discuss thoroughly.
There are various ways to live out true freedom and one example is by following God’s Ten Commandments. We should love our neighbor genuinely. In our everyday lives, temptation will always be part but in order for us to fight it, we must have faith and trust in God.
3.) How can this gospel address the obstacles to human sexuality.
God’s love is truly infinite and no matter how many times we commit mistakes, He will always be there. We have to accept everyone because God did, with all His heart. He created us equally and uniquely in his eyes.
There are three sides to the story of the Parable of the Lost son: The first side would be the Father who represents our Lord and Saviour because he shows unconditional love for the son who insulted him by saying that he wanted his share of the estate (one of the only ways to get your share of the estate would be for the father to die). He ran to his son and in those days, the Father must not run for anything but God loves us so much that he had given us everything but we were blinded by these earthly distractions that we didn’t see what God had to offer us. The second side would be the Lost son who is all of us because we are all sinners that had, is having, will have an obstacle in our lives that pushed, is pushing, will be pushing us to our limits. A friend told me once that those who have the biggest faith usually have the biggest storms too. The third side would be the other son who did not feel the love of his Father, but it was actually very evident in their lives. The other son represents those who are not followers of God, but fans.
ReplyDeleteThe idea that we see in this situation is knowing Jesus Christ as our True Freedom. We must be able to accept that we cannot do everything by ourselves and that’s why according to Corinthians, God’s grace is sufficient, His power is made when we are weak meaning that when we finally are desperate enough to try anything, God reaches out to us and we finally accept Him because we don’t have anything else to cling on.
Human sexuality is a concept that students should be aware of because of the daily struggles the youth fails to see especially when it comes to learning how to truly love another person. People will be able to see the fact that when you learn to love right, you tend to change your perspective on the person, and especially, the concept of Love.

1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
-Well, we have a selfish and individualistic way of thinking. We believe in the reward system, wherein, if we do something good, we must be rewarded for it. Most of us do not appreciate the value of family — of which is one of the most important things to us.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
-True Freedom in the Old and New Testament: It is stated in the Old and New Testament that, in order to gain true freedom, we must follow the commandments and love one another. Applying this to the gospel, the father of the two sons has been able to love both his sons EQUALLY. We must follow in this man's actions and love our neighbor.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
-In contrast to what I said earlier, it shouldn't be a matter of loving EVERYONE in the sexual way, what matters most is that we LOVE our neighbors the way God loves us. We must preserve the chastity and self-control that Jesus observed in His mortal life. Whereas he loved everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, He never turned his back on us, and we must do the same. However, like our faithfulness to God, we must be faithful to our loved one as well. Let not sexual desires take control, but let the love for that person prevail.
1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
ReplyDeleteThe Challenges in this Gospel applied in today’s society is the Willingness of the fortunate to give for the less fortunate who need it the most. This is also difficult to do because giving more to others would also mean losing some of your own belongings, however it is something we must do as the most fortunate for it is the right thing and it is something God would want us to do
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
The key topic that can be applied here is the Freud’s Theory on Conscience, for we may have a conscience in our system but it is not Perfect for as we grow in our everyday lives learning what is right and wrong with tough situations in our lives; we learn from our experience and mistakes which will also help us to develop as better people in the world of god.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
This Gospel shows that young individuals can be easily influenced or persuaded. Because when there comes a time when we gain power we don’t know how to control, we tend to hurt ourselves even though it is has no benefits for us at the end.
