5th Sunday of Lent March 13 Sunday Gospel JN 8:1-11
Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
But early in the morning he arrived again in the temple area,
and all the people started coming to him,
and he sat down and taught them.
Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman
who had been caught in adultery
and made her stand in the middle.
They said to him,
“Teacher, this woman was caught
in the very act of committing adultery.
Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women.
So what do you say?”
They said this to test him,
so that they could have some charge to bring against him.
Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger.
But when they continued asking him,
he straightened up and said to them,
“Let the one among you who is without sin
be the first to throw a stone at her.”
Again he bent down and wrote on the ground.
And in response, they went away one by one,
beginning with the elders.
So he was left alone with the woman before him.
Then Jesus straightened up and said to her,
“Woman, where are they?
Has no one condemned you?”
She replied, “No one, sir.”
Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you.
Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”

ReplyDeleteGUIDE QUESTIONS IN WRITING THE GOSPEL REFLECTION:
1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
One challenge that the gospel depicts would be the act of adultery. Young people nowadays see sex as just an activity or an activity done mainly just for pleasure, the youth now have forgotten the sacredness of marriage and sexual intercourse.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
We can relate this gospel to the topic of Human Sexuality. Human Sexuality is a gift from God and it is sacred. Sex is something that comes after love and marriage and it should result to something much more than pleasure but life. Adultery is a sin because marriage is something very sacred, it is a covenant of love between a man and a woman before the eyes of God. In marriage you promise to love one another as if you are one person and procreate. Adultery is a violation of that promise and it is very selfish. Adultery isn't just the of sexual intercourse within another who is not your wife/husband, it is also lusting for someone who you are not married to.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (NIV, Matthew 5:27-28)
Although adultery is a sin, as Catholics we should be like Jesus Christ, we should be forgiving. We should be forgiving not in the sense of just letting people commit adultery but correcting people's wrongs and forgiving them when they have realized their fault.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Adultery or lusting for someone you are not married to is an obstacle to Human Sexuality. They are obstacles because these hinder us from experiencing the true meaning of Love and what is of God because if it is truly good and right it should be done before God.

ReplyDelete1. The challenges of this gospel in today’s society is the turning of love into lust which leads to the act of adultery. People tend to use sex for pleasure nowadays without having real meaning to it.
2. The key concepts that can be related to this is Human Sexuality. Due to the blindness of people towards the real meaning of human sexuality, adultery is committed. They are not aware the sex should only be done if true love occurs.
3. One of the obstacles to chastity is Adultery since it showcases a persons loss of commitment or love to your partner in life. Due to this, we are not able to fulfil out duties as God’s children and we are not able to practice the true act and meaning of love.

ReplyDelete1. One of the most prominent challenges which society faces, which is also shown in the Gospel above, would be the act of adultery. This act challenges everyone, even the younger members of the community, because this sin tests how loyal we can be to someone. Adultery tests how honest we can be to our partner and to our God as well.
2. Based on the Gospel reading above, one may be able to relate the topic of the Dignity of the Human Person. Jesus did not belittle the woman because she is a sinner, but instead, he treated her with respect regardless of her faults. This is because she still has her ontological dignity which cannot be tarnished, even though her moral dignity has lessened because of her sin. In addition, the Gospel above may be related to the topic that is Human Sexuality wherein one's sexuality must be respected and not be punished for. However, this topic also informs us that we must control our urges, and we must also learn how to treat our own sexuality as a blessing.
3. Jesus reminds his followers that no one is perfect. Christ also reminds us that even though others live their lives in different ways, such as participating in sexual acts, it does not make them any less of a child of God. However, these obstacles do hinder people from treating their bodies the way God wants them to be treated.

ReplyDelete1. One of the challenges that we encounter today is the act of adultery. Youth nowadays do not respect the intimacy of a sexual act. They do not respect the commandments of God. They tend to be selfish and live their life with pleasure alone and not obey the teachings of God.
2. A topic that may be applied to this gospel is the dignities of a Human person. The Human dignities are the ontological and the moral dignity of a person. In the gospel, the woman committed adultery, which damages the moral dignity of the woman. The moral dignity will only heal through confession. The ontological dignity is not affected because it is the dignity of being a human and not measure by the acts that the person did.
3. The act of Adultery is an obstacle of Human Sexuality because it destroys the intimacy of a sexual act. It disobeys the true meaning of human sexuality, which is to truly love someone and bear a child with him. But because of adultery, we tend to not follow it and commit this act. They said that sex is done with a person you are ready to spend your life with but people who commit adultery tend to do this act to a person because of pleasure.
1. )Nowadays, many people see sex as an act of pleasure because of how the media depicts it. The media has distorted the true meaning of having sex. This is one reason why many people nowadays commit adultery
ReplyDelete2.) We can relate this story to the topic of Human Sexuality. According to what we have studied, human sexuality is a gift given from God for us to procreate and to show love to our husband/wife. It is very important that we also understand that pre-marital sex should not be practiced. With the media depicting the wrong image of sex, merely as only for pleasure people tend to think of it as a wrong thing and so many people commit adultery.
3.) As what I have said before, human sexuality is a gift given from God and it is very important that we understand the true meaning of this. We must understand that the act of sex is sacred. And according to what we have studied we must only do it when we are married and only with our partner. Adultery should never be practiced because it is going against God's commandments.

ReplyDelete1. The challenges of this gospel in today’s society is the over bearing lust that brings in strong temptation that can lead to adultery. Society’s view of sex nowadays is something casual and not something special which is wrong.
2. The key concepts that is related to this is the dignity of a Human. Although she has sinned in terms of adultery, Jesus was not one to judge her for her faults. He accepted her with open arms. Another concept related to this is Human Sexuality. Human sexuality is a sacred gift from God himself, one's sexuality must be respected and not be punished for. Although in this case, we must be more aware of our actions and avoid committing sins.
3. Chastity is the practice wherein you save yourself for marriage. Breaking chastity could mean committing adultery and that is very frowned upon. We must stay pure and chaste so that we can live out the duties as God’s children.
Maria Isabella C. Ilagan JE
ReplyDelete1. One of the challenges would be that today’s society is already highly influenced by the fact that pre-marital sex is no longer made a big deal out of anymore. This enables the youth to engage in such acts even without being married, which could then also apply to married couples who commit adultery.
2. In my opinion, one of the key concepts would be all the topics under conscience , and the meaning of conscience in general. This is because conscience enables a person to choose between right from wrong, and in this case, the married woman had a choice to commit adultery or not, but she still chose to do so.
3. This gospel can address to the obstacles of human sexuality by simply saying that some humans tend to ruin the true purpose of human sexuality without even realizing it. One concrete example would be adultery because adultery shows how a person becomes unfaithful to his/her partner. Adultery would then lead to them committing pre-marital sex which gives them the view of being selfish people who seek only for pleasure, not true love.

ReplyDeleteGUIDE QUESTIONS IN WRITING THE GOSPEL REFLECTION:
1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
The gospel shows the challenge of adultery. Human sexuality is a gift given to us by God and it should be treasured and not abused. Adultery is one form of abuse of human sexuality and it is also against the Ten Commandments which makes it a very grave sin but God will still forgive us since He is a merciful God.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Human Sexuality is a concept we can relate to this because adultery is an abuse of human sexuality. When one marries, they are devoted to each other and they are one and if one commits adultery it means the love they share is now broken and the agreement they made with God upon marriage is now put to waste.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY?
Adultery is an obstacle to being chaste and to using the human sexuality the right way. The gospel shows us that adultery is wrong and we must avoid it at all costs.
1.WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY?
ReplyDeleteOne of the major challenges shown in this gospel is about adultery. People nowadays judge to quickly for someone else’s actions without thinking of their own faults most especially regarding sex. In today’s era, people take sex as something they can do of a whim therefore, sex and commitment is not considered sacred anymore which is wrong.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
We can relate this gospel with the topic of ontological and moral dignity. It is related to ontological dignity because our dignity is not destroyed when we do something wrong especially in the case of the girl who committed adultery. Although her ontological dignity is not harmed through these acts, her moral dignity is affected because when we do something wrong, our moral dignity is affected.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
It addresses human sexuality in the case where Jesus forgave the girl even though, she didn’t keep her sexuality sacred. This shows that adultery is one of the hindrances to our human sexuality because we use the gift of God for other purposes.
De Luzuriaga JE
ReplyDelete1. The challenges in the gospel, that is seen today in this society, is the challenge of adultery. People in society is very judgemental, because of the standards that technology is set upon them. People judge others actions, not knowing their own faults in different things they do. Like how society sees sex as a social thing not a sacred thing now.
2. We can relate this to the 2 types of dignity, ontological and moral. No matter how much bad we do, our ontological dignity will never be affecte. Which is the opposite of our moral dignity, because it will get affected.
3. This addresses human sexuality in a way that forgiveness is seen with Jesus and the girl. No matter how much we make mistakes with our sexuality, God will always forgive us if we are sincere and truly want to change.
Michael Justin A. Lirio Junior E
ReplyDelete1. The challenges of this gospel in the society today is that, the youth is changing the way we see sex. Before sex was sacred to the married couples but right now, it is just something that people do for the fun of it even with no strings attached.
2. This story can be related to the human conscience. Conscience is what the woman lacked because everyone has a choice. The choice to do what is right or wrong.
3. Adultery or doing things with another woman besides your own spouse is an obstacle because this is what will provoke us from knowing what is love and what it’s like to really love someone.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
In this day and age, a very hedonistic point of view has taken over the minds of the youth. Sex seems to be something casually done between people that may have just met. Marriages suffer because of adulterous spouses, violating the vows of commitment between the couple. People tend to decide based on what may benefit him/herself more or what may be more pleasurable. Nothing is sacred anymore.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
A topic that we may relate to this gospel is "Human Sexuality As A Gift". Human sexuality is a gift in the same way freedom is a gift; we have the power and capability of making our own decisions. When a man and woman take part in the sacrament of matrimony, it is because the two have personal commitments to one another that is based on the faithfulness of the spouses. They have made a decision to make a promise to one another and God to be fruitful in their relationship. When one of the two commits adultery, this makes a mockery of the gift of sexuality and freedom that God had given the two.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
This gospel addresses the problem of adultery in the world of human sexuality. This obstacle hinders a marriage from reaching it's full potential and may prevent the fruitfulness of the marriage from blooming. This also hurts God because it is a betrayal of His trust in us and our relationships.
Derek Dilanco JE
ReplyDelete1. One challenge that the gospel depicts would be the act of adultery. People nowadays do not take sex as a serious matter but they only do it for fun or pleasure. Also, they have forgotten about the importance of love, marriage, and commitment.
2. Some key concepts that I can apply here is that its said on the 9th commandment that "Thou shall not covet your neighbors wife." Meaning, we should learn hoe to value love and marriage because when we should be committed to our partner in life and we should not be a slave to sin and not be tempted in all the lustful acts that can be committed by a person. Also, I learned that we should put God in the center of our lives in order to value everything because God gave us the freedom but we should learn how to not abuse them.
3. This gospel can address all the problems related to this because God is a merciful God and he will always forgive us as long ss we are ready to go back to him and ask for his mercy. This gospel shows that God loves us even if we've done so much sins because he will never stop loving us until we do the right acts and not commit to the evil mistakes.
Maxinne De Guzman JE
ReplyDelete1. In today's society, many judge too quickly and some are even hypocrites. They notice the wrong in others before they do in themselves. In the gospel, when Jesus asked those who do not sin to stone her, no one could, because we all are sinners.
2. The ontological dignity of the human person, can be related to this gospel. Though the woman has committed adultery, she was still forgiven by God, because only her moral dignity was tarnished as the ontological will forever remain intact.
3.This gospel shows us that we musn't commit adultery. This is a huge obstacle in marriage because marriage must have love and commitment and adultery completely ignores commitment. This gospel shows that adultery is something that everyone should steer away from.
Kristopher Cecilia

ReplyDelete1. The challenge is adultery. People nowadays that sex is just something for pleasure but it is really not. This is a sacred thing that has a purpose of procreation and if that is not the purpose then it should not be done.
2. We can relate this to our dignity. Once we sin, we tarnish our moral dignity but we dont tarnish our ontological dignity. If we commit adultery we commit sin that is why we should repent to regain our moral dignity.
3. It addresses the problem of human sexuality. We should keep this thing sacred and we should avoid adultery because this will destroy our relationship with Christ. That is why we should repent.
JULIA BRAGO JE
ReplyDelete1. The challenge in this gospel is the temptation people easily give in to. Also, this gospel shows that people are so quick to judge even if they themselves have committed sins as well. In our time, people are shamed for their past because others want to ruin them.
2. Love, marriage and commitment is evident in this gospel because it shows the importance of staying true to your wedded partner and your promise to stay committed no matter what. Committing adultery is in fact a sin but if Jesus cannot condemn the woman, neither can/should we.
3. It all leads to succumbing into temptations. We should always remember that something is only truly right if done out of love and respect.
Sofia L. Lamberte J-E
ReplyDelete1. The challenge posed in this gospel is the presence of adultery and how it serves as a temptation among couples today. It teaches us that sin comes in different forms but that the Lord will come to forgive us all in the end.
2. The general overview of Human Sexuality serves as the foundation and working mechanism that leads us to or knowledge and correct understanding of loving one another and God. It teaches us that anything that goes against the Church's, Jesus', or the Pope's saying is considered a sin and should not be discouraged among Christians.
3. The gospel relates to addressing the obstacles of human sexuality where it teaches us how our sexuality is linked to our identity and purpose as God's stewards. It teaches us that the matter of sex should be a private and sacred matter between loved ones, and that people should not act so scandalous around it for it is a tool in advancing our love as a community and as couples for Christ.
Micaela Tempongko JE CN:40
ReplyDelete1.One of the difficulties that we experience today is the act of infidelity. Youth these days don’t mind if they commit adultery just as long as they get pleasure. They forget about what God had to experience leaving His son to suffer for all of our sins. People have a tendency to be narrow minded and carry on with their selfishness alone and not comply with the teachings of God.
2.Our topic on ontological dignity and moral dignity is connected to this gospel. In the gospel, the woman was caught in the act of adultery, which harms the ethical social class and the way others look at the lady. This would only be fixed when repenting and forgiveness comes in the picture. The ontological dignity is not affected by this because no matter how grave the sin a person’s committed, just as long as she/ he confesses and knows about their mistakes and forgives, they are fine.
3.Infidelity is an obstacle of Human Sexuality because the point of the act of sexual intercourse is to experience it with the person you love. Adultery devastates the closeness of a sexual demonstration. It resists the genuine importance of human sexuality, which is to really cherish somebody and to procreate with that person. But because of infidelity, we have a tendency to think about ourselves first and not about what others are going to feel. People often do tasks just for the benefit they’d receive such as pleasure. We should respect the 10 commandments for God sacrificed His son for us.

ReplyDelete1. The young people in our generation have ruined the image of "love". People now see it as a form of entertainment or pleasure, in which they cannot overcome the temptations that their body leads them to. It is very immoral, because we have turned the act of reproduction into an act of pleasure.
2. This gospel can be related to the dignity of a person. Although we may tarnish our moral dignity, by doing acts of immorality and sin, we always find ourselves of equal level to others in the eyes of God. This is because of the Ontological dignity of a human being, a dignity that cannot be reduced or tarnished.
3. We should always live a life of chastity, in which one would not give in to the temptations of "PMS". The act of reproduction should only be done when a man and woman love each other, and stay committed to each other through marriage.
Alyssa Abad JE CN:1
ReplyDelete1. The challenge that was indeed evident in the gospel that can be seen in the youth is that people nowadays judge a person from what they hear from other people even if they, themselves, are not pure. They wanted Jesus to condemn the woman however they are also guilty of being sinful. Another challenge that is evident is that people think that sex is not something for procreating but it is for pleasure.
2. The key concept that can be applied is human sexuality. This is because human sexuality is indeed a gift from God however, people tend to treat sex as something that is merely for pleasure and not for procreation. The fact that people treat sex as something for pleasure leads to people committing adultery which is against God's commands.
3. This gospel can address the obstacle of human sexuality which is temptation since it reminds people to not commit adultery and the like since it goes against God's commandments. We also should remember that we have no right to judge anyone if we, ourselves are sinners. Therefore as Christians, we must obey and follow His commands.
Paolo Sy-Quia JE CN:39
ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
Today, sex and sexual acts are often displayed as acts of pleasure. They take the meaning out of the act and we are left with sin. In the gospel, the woman too takes the meaning away from the act when she commits adultery.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
It can be related to Ontological Dignity because although sin involving sexual acts is very common in our generation, we will always keep our ontological dignity. Like in the gospel, Jesus lets the adulterer go based on the fact that she still had her ontological dignity.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
The gospel can address issues by showing us just how important they are. By Jesus Christ himself teaching us, we get to see the gravity of the situations. Gospels are meant to teach us and this is exactly what this gospel does.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
- The youth of this generation have the wrong perception of sexual intercourse. They think its for pleasure, but in reality, it is sacred. The woman takes away its meaning and purpose when she committed the act of adultery.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
- It can be related to the ontological dignity of a person. Although her moral dignity decreased, she still has her ontological dignity. Jesus gives her a chance to redeem herself just like the chances he gives us.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
- Gospels teach us lessons we're supposed to apply in life. This teaches us that adultery is wrong and we must keep our sexuality sacred. We must not misinterpret sex to be an act for pleasure. It is sacred and used to multiply poeple.
Joshua Nery Junior-E CN:28
ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
- in the modern world, mostly teens tend to forget the value of our human sexuality and just have sex. We are blinded by worldly things and we forget that sex is for love and after marriage, never for pleasure.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY
HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
-a concept I can relate this to is Human Sexuality. It is a gift given by God and we should always keep it sacred. Sex must only be done after marriage. People tend to forget this and commit adultery.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
- although we are sinners, we are forgiven. And what we should do is to learn how to forgive others for their wrong doings. Forgiveness is hard, which is why it's some times the only solution to the obstacles we face.
Xavier Antonio P. Reyes
ReplyDelete1. Just like in the gospel, people today take away the meaning of sexual intercourse by committing pre-marital sex and etc. the same way the woman takes away the meaning of sexual intercourse by committing adultery.
2. I can relate it to human sexuality because human sexuality is a gift of God, but people like to treat sexual acts as acts of pleasure and not of means of procreating. Because of this, people are more prone to committing adultery because of them treating sexual acts as acts of pleasure only.
3. This can address the obstacles to human sexuality because adultery is a result of temptation and this gospel reminds us that we should not commit adultery and that we should not commit sin in general.
Joshua Nicolas JE
ReplyDelete1. In this gospel, a crowd of people wish to kill a woman for adultery. In their anger and wish to kill her, they do not realize that they are sinful as well. They realize that they are no better than adulterers when they desire to kill someone. Even today, hypocrisy like this is evident in many places.
2. I believe this can be related to moral dignity. Our moral dignity may be shattered, but our ontological dignity as humans is never broken. Our moral dignity, no matter how it was lost, may be recovered through confession and repentance, which Jesus had told the woman to do in this gospel.
3. This gospel points to adultery and forgiveness. Adultery is a mortal sin, as it directly goes against one of the 10 commandments. However, God is always willing to forgive our sins, so long as we are truly remorseful, vowing to never do it again.
JAIME PASTOR JE
ReplyDelete1. The challenge presented in this gospel is the act of adultery which is when you are engaging in sexual intercourse with one that is not your spouse.
2. This is related to human sexuality because adultery defiles the real meaning of human sexuality and the act of sex, which is meant to be shared between two people who are married to each other.
3. This is an obstacle to human sexuality because adultery is against the message of human sexuality of pure love and sex between a married couple.
1.There are many challenges in human sexuality that are present in our lives today. One of the difficulties that we experience today is the demonstration of infidelity. Youth these days don't regard the closeness of a sexual demonstration. They don't regard the rules of God. They have a tendency to be narrow minded and carry on with their existence with joy alone and not comply with the teachings of God.
ReplyDelete2.This gospel can be identified with the dignity of a man. Despite the fact that we might tarnish our moral dignity, by doing demonstrations of unethical behavior and sin, we generally end up of equivalent level to others according to God. This is a direct result of the Ontological dignity of a person, a dignity that can't be lessened or tarnished.
3.The gospel identifies with tending to the obstructions of human sexuality where it shows us how our sexuality is connected to our identity. It shows us that the matter of sex ought to be a private and holy matter between your partner, and that individuals ought not act so shameful around it for it is an instrument in propelling our affection as a group and as couples for Christ.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
To people from my generation, I believe that most challenges may be alluded to racism, prejudice, or simply thinking we are better than others. Most young people, even people from all ages have the tendency to resent those that they think are better than them, they begin to do anything to make that people seem worse than themselves. Above all, humanity is afraid of those that are different, and from fear blooms the fruit of hate, violence, and it breeds gaps between people. The true weakness of humanity I believe, would be how they see themselves.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
From this, I think that one key concept blatantly seen in this gospel would be conscience. Conscience was seen when the people who originally persecuted the woman had left her alone after Jesus had told them to only judge her if they have no sin, their conscience could not allow them to lie about their situation, for every person there had sinned. Another concept noticed was freedom, Jesus had given them the freedom to follow his words or not, he let them chose for themselves.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
This gospel teaches us that the act of intercourse must be treated as a private and sacred thing, it shouldn't be dirtied in such a way that sin touches it. It also teaches us that those that commit sins connected to their sexuality can be forgiven, they deserve another chance. It shows that we must not be so quick to judge others for their sexual acts.

We can apply ontological dignity to this because even if you commit sin, you will still keep that ontological dignity. In the gospel Jesus let the sinner go because she still had that dignity, and so ontological dignity is related to this gospel.

The gospel can address the obstacle to human sexuality because we shouldn't commit adultery even if God can forgive our sins we shouldn't do it because it is not right
