Jesus
took Peter, John, and James
and went up the mountain to pray.
While he was praying his face changed in appearance
and his clothing became dazzling white.
And behold, two men were conversing with him, Moses and Elijah,
who appeared in glory and spoke of his exodus
that he was going to accomplish in Jerusalem.
Peter and his companions had been overcome by sleep,
but becoming fully awake,
they saw his glory and the two men standing with him.
As they were about to part from him, Peter said to Jesus,
“Master, it is good that we are here;
let us make three tents,
one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
But he did not know what he was saying.
While he was still speaking,
a cloud came and cast a shadow over them,
and they became frightened when they entered the cloud.
Then from the cloud came a voice that said,
“This is my chosen Son; listen to him.”
After the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone.
They fell silent and did not at that time
tell anyone what they had seen.

In today's society, believe it or not, miracles can still occur. Although it is rare, it is still possible. The problem with today's society is that they doubt too much and they do not believe unless they see it themselves. People must learn to have a little faith and just trust in God

The key topic from the REVALIDA that we can use here are the Morals, Doctrine and Worship. Because in order for us to be the perfect followers of Christ we must learn to balance these and to supply enough of all three in order to achieve our goal.

This gospel addresses the obstacles to Human Sexuality in a way that our faith must be strong in God. We must be God fearing in order to know our limits. God is so great and we are his creation and we must always respect his creations.

This should greatly exercise our faith with God despite the various temptations and events that are happening in our society today. Often, we only believe on what we physically see— lacking faith in different aspects. The only way we can achieve eternal life is by letting God enter us without any doubt of his presence. In here, God actually showed up to the 2 men which really shocked them. From that, God told them to spread of what they had seen— in the case of actually making people believe more of his power than everything.

Basically, faith is what should drive us here. We, as humans, face every obstacles in this society that could either turn our faith into the betterment or vice-versa. We all are given different mindsets, which we can manipulate uniquely accordingly on how we decide to live it out. I personally believe that the appearance of God to the 2 men is completely helpful and justifiable as it woke their souls up. Basically, on how they could take for granted all of the symbols and blessings that God has been giving out to us. As the children of God, we should be enlightened on how much God loves us in spite of all of the wrong doings we have stabbed him with. No matter how much we let him down, still, he lifts us up.

In today’s time, we commonly degrade the people of who they are and what they choose to be in the society. We still have to be awaken by the reality to realize how much pains and agony we cause to the people we are surrounded with— just by being judgmental. No one is perfect, except for God alone. At the same time, we should not judge a person for their outside image. As long as they are in the likeness of the image of God, no one can ever judge them. And as the people in this society, it is our duty to perform good in accordance with the name of God. Our faith should rule our road to everlasting life.

Now only some people believe in miracles. For me I believe that it can occur all we need to do is pray to the Lord and Trust him. We were created by him and we should trust in what he gives us.

The key concept that we can find in the Revalida is the Doctrines, Morals, and Worship. It is said that in order to be a good follower of the Lord we need to have the three in order for us to be a good follower of the Lord.

1. What are the challenges of this Gospel in today's society particularly to the young people like you?
• This Gospel challenges young people like me in today's society to share with the less fortunate the gifts that we have. This Gospel also further challenges us to properly exercise our faith and be the best of who we can be. We must learn to fully trust and have faith in God for He can do great wonders and miracles — just as He did in the Gospel.
2. What key concepts from the Revalida topics can you best apply here? Discuss thoroughly.
• Key concepts that can be best applied here based from the Revalida topics include the three dimensions of faith — Doctrine, Moral and Worship. This tells us how to properly love God and express our faith to him. Furthermore, the concept of Christian Morality can also be applied here, because the said concepts talks about the call of Jesus to follow Him in true and authentic freedom — something that is necessary and vital to every person's life.
3. How can this Gospel address the obstacles to human sexuality?
• The Gospel addresses the obstacles to human sexuality by telling us that there is still hope — just have faith. In the Gospel, Jesus has done a miracle that was seen by Moses and Elijah. The same miracle may happen in real-life despite all of the wrongdoings and obstacles to human sexuality, such as pornography and prostitution. As said earlier, we just have to believe, and most importantly — have faith.

-In society today there is many challenges we face such as when we go through challenges and obstacles, often we forget about God and lose our faith in times of trouble. Not only is it the challenges and obstacles we face but also our choices and decisions we make. When we lose sight of God or lose track of him, we tend to commit sins and do bad actions. We must remember to keep track of God in our lives as he gave us our lives and think of our actions before we act it out.

-Conscience is the biggest key concept which we can apply towards our situation in our society today. Once forget that God is there always right there by our side we tend to commit sins and do bad actions. Our conscience helps us to decide whether or not the actions we are about to or already have committed are proper or wrong. Our conscience is important for us to know. However we must be properly educated on what is truly wrong and right as others may have different views on certain topics. We may also related he concept of freedom, since God gave us freedom and free-will it is up to us to use it correctly through our actions and words. As we use both of these concepts in unity we become aware that we are indeed free to do as we please, although we must know what is wrong from right through our conscience. Our conscience may not be perfect but we must shape our conscience to be the best it possibly can be.

-This Gospel has one moral which we should all remember and learn to live out in our daily lives, it is that we should always trust in God and have faith in him always. Not just the temptations included but also we are misguided in seeing what truly is "sexuality" as it so wrongly depicted in the society of today which may lead to misconceptions and wrong actions. In this particular era, people have so many problems that occur in their lives, and at these times, it is so easy to forget about God, making us test our faith in Him. This gospel has opened my eyes to believe in miracles, and how ever rare they are these days, and to strengthen my faith in God. We have to remember that he always has a plan for us, so we should never doubt his decisions.

- In today's society, the youth often focus on their own lives and they tend to forget what really matters. Many young people are forgetting that God is the reason that we are here. We need to remember to take some time off of our busy lives so we can strengthen our relationship with God and so that we may remain faithful to Him.

Some of the young people do not believe in miracles. However, the truth is as long as we believe and we continue to have faith, miracles can happen because anything is possible with the Lord. God can do all things visible and invisible.

Young people of today may have a hard time to believe that Jesus is the Messiah and He will always be there for us. We are not worthy to be shown Jesus's greatness but we still always experience His love. Our burdened heart can scarcely take God's love as we behold His beauty with unworthy eyes. His glory cannot be unseen and that is something we should recognize and respect.It is all about having endless faith in Him.

For others, it is not easy for them to see God in their lives. Many have it hard to disperse their faith in Him, as they do not believe that it is Jesus Christ alone who can save us. We have to open our minds and hearts to God, and lift up our immense praise and worship to our Lord, who brings miracles in our life everyday and whose presence is ever burning in our hearts, if we allow ourselves to let Him in.

• This Gospel challenges young people like me in today's society to remain faithful to God's commandments. This Gospel also further challenges us to be examples of God's love by accentuating His perfect love for us despite all the temptations and struggles. We need to be able to exemplify a life through Christ in His name.

My Revalida was Jesus as a perfect example of "cactus" or chastity. I know that God gave us freedom in order to use it responsibly to remain pure and chaste. Jesus used His humility in service to show His faithfulness and mercy. We should make Jesus our number 1 model of God's perfect love.

• The Gospel addresses the obstacles to human sexuality by telling us that there is still hope. Jesus performed a miracle to reveal to Moses and Elijah God's plan for them. I believe that God has given us gifts such as human sexuality in order to truly and completely live the Gospel values. We just need to remain in Him and keep His guidance so that we may not stray far away from Him.

Ans: A challenge that we are experiencing today is loosing our faith to God. With all the resources and technology that have been developed today we tend to slowly loose our faith in God. We should always remember that God is always with us. Turning around on God will cause many problems in life. When we keep our faith on God, he will always help us in all the obstacles we are facing today.

Ans: An obstacle would be loosing faith in something that is needed to be done. We all have goals and aspirations in life that we really want. But getting to those goals won't be easy. When that happens, don't stop but push on, we must accept the problem, go through it, learn from it, and keep moving forward. But all of that won't be complete without having faith. The secret to gaining success is to have faith and never loose hope on him.

-The youth, most especially teenagers, are often very vulnerable to different forms of temptation. Not only do we succumb to this, but we drift away from God. And because of this, we begin to lose faith in Him. Although, God always manages to appear in unexpected manners and situations, and His Son Jesus Christ is God’s greatest form of love for us, thus we should listen to Jesus’ teachings and follow them.

-God granted us the gift of sexuality so that we may be able to express our love with the people we deserve. -The challenges of this Gospel in today’s society is the fact that we have little to no faith. After joining LSYC, I learned that you don’t have to always see someone to know that they’re there for you. You just really have to trust and surrender to God because when all else fails, God will ALWAYS be there for you no matter what. We just need faith.

The challenges that are evident in this gospel are that young people like me no longer listen and praise God like they did before. We take him for granted more often than not.

The challenges of this gospel in today’s society revolve around our faith. Technically, we get to see how strong our faith is since it is really evident to see that each of us go through a lot of things in life most especially our hardships – where our faithfulness has the greatest tests. In this gospel, it challenges us to not be doubtful of ourselves and our faith as well. We should always keep our faith strong, and I believe this gets stronger in every experience we go through.

The dimensions of faith can be applied here since you can see also how your faith flows through you. Your understanding and practice of faith are what shapes of how faithful you are. Another is that, having faith in Him will really make us see that God always has His better plans for us.

At this present time, we know that there are a lot of obstacles to human sexuality and with faith, we have trust and hope. Miracles still do happen but many forget and don't believe in what Jesus can do in our lives. This challenges us to built our Faith around Him so that He may work miracles and wonders in you. We must trust him fully and believe in what He is capable of doing.

Most of us forget and don't believe what Jesus can do in our lives. This challenges us to restore our Faith in Him so that He may work miracles in us. We must completely trust Him and believe what He can do in our lives.

Temptation is one of the challenges the youth faces today. They tend to be vulnerable to various forms of it. In effect, we drift away from God. However, He never left our side. We should always remember that he’ll always be there and we have to follow His teachings.

As believers in the Lord, we all hope to be transfigured into worthiness of eternal life with God, but as this passage shows, we are by nature unprepared for its ramifications. Youth in today's society are unprepared and unaware of what is Jesus' mission. In the gosple, He wanted to show them who he is and his mission. Therefore we must have a deeper understanding of who He is.

ReplyDeleteOur generation has evolved greatly ever since Jesus had changed the rules of the world. As Jesus revolutionized the laws, we have abused these rules because we do not fully understand it since we do not listen to God wholeheartedly
One of the Revalida topics that I can relate to this is Exercising True Freedom due to the fact that our generation has been clouded with different and unsettling ideas that affects our responsibility to exercise our True Freedom.
A lot of people agree with the fact that the homosexual community is abominable and that thought just disgusts me because Jesus taught us to Love and we are not listening to Him just like in this passage wherein they were tempted and succumbed to the temptation

For me I believe that it can occur all we need to do is pray to the Lord and Trust him. We were created by him and we should trust in what he gives us, often we forget about God and lose our faith in times of trouble.

-We lack in our faith in God. Our relationship with Him has dwindled and has almost been forgotten — we abused and neglected His love.

-I believe we can best apply the topic of The Three Dimensions of Faith in this gospel. We must remember that Faith, Worship and Doctrine are all interconnected. It is not enough to have faith in God alone; we must back that up with actions that can support our complete and total faith in Him. We must remember to praise and thank God for all He has done for us, we must seek refuge in Him, and build our life around Him. Maintaining the balance between these three fulfills our duty to God, as well as remembering that He is one of the main pillars in our life that keeps us going.

-In my opinion, it shows how open God is to us. He is always there for us, just waiting for us to reach out to Him. This also works with overcoming obstacles regarding human sexuality. Like previously said, keeping Him in mind leaves no room for error, we would have the continuous determination to do good and the self-control to take hold of our desires.
