5th Sunday of Lent March 13 Sunday Gospel JN 8:1-11
Jesus went to the Mount of
Olives.
But early in the morning he arrived again in the temple area,
and all the people started coming to him,
and he sat down and taught them.
Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman
who had been caught in adultery
and made her stand in the middle.
They said to him,
“Teacher, this woman was caught
in the very act of committing adultery.
Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women.
So what do you say?”
They said this to test him,
so that they could have some charge to bring against him.
Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger.
But when they continued asking him,
he straightened up and said to them,
“Let the one among you who is without sin
be the first to throw a stone at her.”
Again he bent down and wrote on the ground.
And in response, they went away one by one,
beginning with the elders.
So he was left alone with the woman before him.
Then Jesus straightened up and said to her,
“Woman, where are they?
Has no one condemned you?”
She replied, “No one, sir.”
Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you.
Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY
PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
As teenagers, we easily judge the ones who commit mistakes— as if we are perfect and unexposed to temptations. This is because of the constant influence of the environment around us that shapes the deeper aspect of our being.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
The revalida is mainly for the intention of summarizng all of the lessons we have learn throughout the school year. And from that, we were all given freedom to do what we can to be a better change in the society. However, we should not forget that our conscience should be the very basis of performing what could be morally good and morally bad. We are not perfect, but we are created in the image of God. No one can judge us, except for God alone. We all have the ontological dignity that no matter how much mistakes we make, we are still human. And God’s love is endless.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Human Sexuality in today’s time is often regarded as being male and female only in the face of society. For example, being bisexual is usually judged by several and various people now. They would think that this is a deep and obnoxious sin for being such “label” in the society. We should know that as long as we follow the teachings and words of God, no one can degrade us. Let God.

1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
It reaches out to topics that are very explored as a growing adolescent -- Adultery and Sin. Although other people have sinned and done bad things, we have no right to judge them because we are all sinners. We must learn how to be more loving and forgiving, just like Jesus.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
The morality of a person defines the way they react to this situation. It defines the way they react to adultery and human sexuality itself when we are faced with it. Also, morality defines the way we react when other people do bad things. The Revalida topics that are best applied here are True Freedom, Christian Morality and Human Sexuality. One must use their true freedom to make choices for the benefit of others, it is also in line with your own sexuality that is a gift from God.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Adultery is a big obstacle to keeping sacred one's Chastity. The devil always tries to tempt us with different kinds of sins like adultery and premarital sex that make it harder to be Chaste. However, we must learn how to be content with the abundant blessings Jesus give us.

1. What are the challenges of this gospel in today's society particularly to the young people like you?
-The value of fidelity, the humility to accept and admit that we did something wrong, the heart and mercy to forgive when someone has wronged us, and the determination to make amends for our mistakes.
2. What key concepts from the Revalida topics can you best apply here. Discuss thoroughly.
-Christian Morality: This topic emphasizes the importance of doing good and avoiding evil; as well as, maintaining the fear of God within us - that He is the ultimate source of everything good. With this idea in mind, we can live to be stewards of God, like He intended us to be. Furthermore, this builds a foundation of morals and values which keep God in the center, and because He is the very essence of everything good, this leads us away from sin and straight into His righteous path.
-Dignity of the Human Person: We must acknowledge that we are merely the creations of God - of whom we are blessed to be created in His image. Our moral dignity is unique to each and every one of us, something that cannot be stated by another person (for s/he is not me, and I am not him/her). Therefore, what the Pharisees and Scribes demanded to be done upon the woman is unaccountable, for the woman's own moral dignity, is to be restored herself.
3. How can this gospel address the obstacles to Human Sexuality.
-It pertains to the consequences of being unable to control our sexual desires/fidelity. The gospels shows how ungrateful and abusive we are of the pleasures that God has given us, that is meant for our sole partner in life. He (God) has forgiven us and yet, we take that forgiveness for granted and continue to commit the sin of Lust. We must show our faithfulness not only to Him, but to our partner as well.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
In today's society, we easily judge others without thinking that only God is perfect. We always hurt others who do bad even though we are also sinners. We should know that everyone makes mistakes so we have no right to judge others. Adultery is also one of the challenges in today's society because we are doing things that are wrong even in marriage and in chastity.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Key concepts from the revalida topics can be applied just like in christian morality and freedom. We use our freedom to do good to others. Our christian morality also teaches to do what God wants us to do. We should not be bad to people who make mistakes. Another key concept is human sexuality. When we commit adultery, we don't use our human sexuality in the right way. We must respect others even people who are married.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Adultery is one of the obstacles to human sexuality. When we don't respect others' sexuality, we are doing wrong things. These sins like pre marital sex shows that we do not appreciate the gift that God has given us which is human sexuality. Lust is one of the common sins regarding human sexuality.

1 WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKED YOU?
The problem is adultery and sin both of which are not the right things to do in order to have a good life. Even if other people sin we should not make a big deal about it because we are also sinners. We should be God's stewards and that means that we should not commit sins.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE. DISCUSS THOROUGHLY
The topic is our morality because now in our lives we are in the stage of adolescence and in it we are growing in a lot of ways. In the process of our growth we commit immoral acts like sin and adultery, so we should follow what the Lord has said because he gave us our lives in this world.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
It says something about adultery and it is that we should not commit it because it is immoral and it destroys our chastity. We should have a bigger chastity so that we may be able to go to good places with the Lord.

This gospel shows how hypocritical us people can be. We are always the first to condemn others but we are always the last to persecute ourselves. We must learn humility in the way we live our lives since we are all equals in the eyes of God.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Our Christian Morality is what helps us live a good Christian life. It helps up shape the way we live our lives in order for us to be good children of God. We must first learn to look at ourselves before we point our fingers at other people in order for us to not be hypocritical towards others.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
This gospel shows that we must be responsible for our actions and we must learn to first look at ourselves before looking at others. We must learn to be responsible with ourselves first before we bring other people in the future and this is part of the learning and growing process that we experience everday

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
ReplyDeleteI believe the challenges in the gospel can be related in today's society to the young people like us when it comes to the importance of respect. Because nowadays there are plenty of people who judge others for their mistakes that's why I believe that people should really practice respect towards others because it is not proper to criticize people for their sins especially when you yourself make sins of your own.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
What can be best applied to the gospel is Christian Morality. Because when discussing about Christian Morality the main concept is having the proper principles in making decisions between right and wrong. In this modern day and age people should really learn good manners and respect towards other people because that's how God intended it to be, for us humanbeings to treat eachother equally. That's why I believe that before we judge people for their flaws, we should stop and think to look at ourselves and ask ourselves if we too are perfect.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
This Gospel can address the obstacles to human sexuality by teaching us the impact of knowing about conscience and morality. In society today, we tend to criticize people on their sexuality if it doesn't seem normal to us. For me, we should really treat each and everyone fairly because when we condemn and condescend to people for their sexuality it displays a serious injustice which should be corrected. In the end, we are all the same in the eyes of God. Whether homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, transexual, pansexual, polysexual or asexual, we should all learn to just get along and practice the value of Respect.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
- When someone commits a sin, it is instinctive for us humans to condemn that person, and most of the time we don't realize that we are sinners as well. Meaning, we should not judge others due to their bad deeds, because we might've done the same things as well.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
- A topic that I can relate to this issue is Christian Morality because it teaches us how to live like Christ. Just like what Christ did to the woman, we must not persecute a person because of what their wrong doings, rather to forgive, accept and let them move on from their past mistakes, rather than labelling them.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
- The gospel is telling us that we must live responsibly and to accept our own as well as other people's sexuality, whatever their preference may be. By doing this we are a step closer to attaining true harmony. Accepting one's sexuality will also get rid of any stigma in our minds regarding the subject. If we continue to persecute those who have different views from us then we will not progress as a society.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
There are handfuls of people who commit sin everyday, for different reasons. This certain gospel challenges the young to understand that we cannot judge another for doing something we wouldn't do, no matter how wrong what it is they've done because everyone, even the wisest and kindest of all people, are sinners themselves. We cannot judge them for their acts but try our bests to understand and forgive, as God would.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Christian Morality--I believe that Christian Morality is one of the many major key concepts that I can apply here because it defines who we are as persons, how we'd react in a scenario like this; when someone commits adultery or any sin, for that matter.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
I believe that this particular gospel can address the obstacles to human sexuality since we cannot judge anyone for being who they truly are, "labels" does not necessarily define you as a person, and everyone should know to respect that.
Gospel Reflection #5

1. What are the challenges of this Gospel in today's society particularly to the young people like you?
• The Gospel challenges young people like me in today's society not to judge a person too quickly. Many young people nowadays, because of their pride, think that they are "perfect" and therefore judge and humiliate others, when in fact they are not. In the Gospel, many people were accusing the young woman of adultery, but no one dared to "throw a stone at her" at therefore walked out. We must remember that we have no right to judge other people for who they are because we are all sinners just like them. We must learn how to truly love others and be more forgiving, just like as Jesus did in the Gospel.
2. What key concepts from the Revalida topics can you best apply here? Discuss thoroughly.
• Key concepts that can be best applied here based from the Revalida topics include the concept of True Freedom, Conscience and Human Sexuality. The people who were accusing the woman in the Gospel must have followed the concept of true freedom, because they have the freedom to say their own personal opinions that do NOT harm or incriminate other people, and conscience because they should have thought first of their words and actions before accusing someone for his or her wrongdoing. Finally, the Gospel applies the concept of Human Sexuality, because the woman was caught in adultery which is one of the obstacles to human sexuality.
3. How can this Gospel address the obstacles to human sexuality?
• The Gospel addresses the obstacles to human sexuality by showing the consequences of committing unpure and unchaste actions. In this case, since the woman was caught in adultery, she was humiliated in front of a large group of people. From this, we must learn how to be responsible people and how to control our sexual desires. Additionally, adultery is one of the obstacles to being chaste and pure. We must be able to use control and disregard all the temptations around us in order to grow and holistically develop as a faithful, chaste and forgiving person in the eyes of other people and most importantly, in the eyes of God.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
We teenagers are influenced by people who tempt us to commit sin. Everyone makes mistakes, nobody is perfect except for God so we shouldn't judge too quickly. Adultery is also common these days which greatly damages chastity and marriage.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
The topic on human sexuality and morality is greatly highlighted on the this gospel because it talks about judging other people in which we shouldn't do because it damages our morals. And, if we commit adultery the practice of human sexuality is violated.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Adultery damages human sexuality. Practicing adultery breaks our freedom of human sexuality because God gave us the freedom to love someone but he didn't give us the freedom to cheat on someone.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
Ans: As young ones like us we tend to judge the people the way they act and do when we also do the same. The gospel showed that we are all sinners and we aren't perfect, meaning we should learn how to forgive. We must always think before we speak.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE. DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Ans: Based on the revalida concepts, the topic of conscience greatly applies in the gospel. Conscience is the act of knowing to do deeds which are either morally good or morally bad. Our conscience isn't perfect so we tend to make mistakes. We must learn how to forgive one another and avoid repeating the bad moral action again.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
Ans: This gospel shows and reflects to the obstacle of Adultery in human sexuality. We people tend to want sexual pleasures alone and not love. Doing so makes us destroy the purpose of marriage which destroys our chastity. Adultery destroys the special bond between you and your partner to God. We must understand that our human sexuality is a gift and not a source for pleasure. We must use it for love and not for entertainment. Marriage isn't just having a lover but having an opportunity to start your own loving family by God.
1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU? Others may have sinned and done wrong but we have no sure them, we aren't perfect. We ourselves sin so why judge others for sinning? We must learn to forgive one another and love each other.

1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
ReplyDeleteThe woman was quickly judged or persecuted even though no strong evidence was presented. In every case, once a strong evidence is presented, a case can be and will be filed against you. Nowadays, us kids and young people tend to judge and immediately assume on how things are, but in reality the things we think aren't the things that really happened.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
I believe that the revalida tackles all the aspects, however, the most case that can be applied is Christian Morality. It depends on our morals on what we must do in a certain situation. In the given situation above, we must not immediately jump into conclusions and know what really happened before acting on a situation.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
No matter what our sexuality is, whether we are man or woman, we must be fair to each other. God made woman in order for the man to have companionship, therefore, it is not someone we treat differently. Each and everyone of us have strengths and weaknesses and we must learn to respect that. In the end, we just want everything and everyone to be happy and okay.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
Many of us teenagers in this day and age tend to be judgmental in such a way they have a stereotypical view towards their peers and be discriminating based on the choices other people make, especially if they have committed mistakes. It can be hard for them to fully accept and love others unconditionally because of their wrong doings.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE. DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
From the lessons discussed this school year, I believe that the concepts regarding Christian Morality and practicing chastity can best be applied in this situation. As a Christian, God invites us to live in the image and likeness of God, and continue to develop ourselves in His light and love-- through living out the commandments and avoiding sinful acts which include committing adultery.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY?
It displays how committing unchaste acts within the society can be viewed as something immoral. It destroys our purity and the invalidates the value we put into human sexuality, which is a precious gift He has given us to treasure. Many in this contemporary age have come to abuse this gift, and consequently drift away from a state of grace.

ReplyDelete1. What are the challenges of this Gospel in today's society particularly to the young people like you?
The Gospel challenges the youth in today's society to be forgiving when people commit sin. The Gospel showed that you can't condemn someone for sinning against God because we know for ourselves that we are all sinners at the end of the day. Jesus called us to not hurt those who are already hurt, but instead love them and help them realize God's mercy and compassion.
2. What key concepts from the Revalida topics can you best apply here? Discuss thoroughly.
The topic of conscience is heavily related to this Gospel because of what we believe is morally right or wrong. We should always reference our conscience to God's word because it is through His word that we may be able to accentuate His love. We need to remember that our conscience is our guide in order to help us make good decisions.
3. How can this Gospel address the obstacles to human sexuality?
• The Gospel addresses the obstacles to human sexuality by showing the consequences of violating your own chastity and committing impure actions against God's law. We must we very aware that all that we do as God's children will reflect how He is present in our lives. We must always remember that our human sexuality should be held sacred and holy.

1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
- This gospel brings to light the judgmental tendencies of the youth, and of society in general. We tend to unrightfully judge others for sins that they’ve committed, yet we fail to see ourselves in them as sinners as well. Upon seeing someone do something wrong, we immediately notice these, not caring about the other parts of them that are food. We are no less of a sinner as them, for we are all equal in the eyes of the Lord.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
- Conscience. Our actions are determined by our conscience or our sense of right and wrong. We have the choice as whether or not we will commit sin, and we choose to do so. In this situation, the scribes and Pharisees chose to bring in the sinful woman so that she may be punished because they think that they are fulfilling their duty to God. But really, they are just being hypocrites, who only see evil in others but not within themselves.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
- Nowadays, many Christians and Catholics condemn homosexuals and judge them due to how they choose to love others. They even go so far as to proclaim that the gays should be punished because homosexuality is a sin. Although, they fail to consider that they themselves are also sinners. In reality, straight people are not any better than gay people, for they are both sinners, it just so happens that they sin differently.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
-In today's society we are faced with many temptations which cause us to sin. Everyone commits sin because of these temptations, so who are we to condemn anyone for committing sin? God will not condemn us for committing sin but only forgive us and love us. We face challenges such as hypocrisy when we judge someone for an act they have committed but we also commit. No one is perfect in our world, so we should not judge and condemn each other. We should in fact help each other become better people for God and others.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
-I believe that Christian morality is the most influential key topic from revalida, through our Christian morality we are called to follow the footsteps of God and Jesus. As we follow the footsteps of God and Jesus, we must remember that they will always forgive us. Another would be the aspect of doing good and avoiding evil, as we to grow as a more full person we must avoid the temptations leading us to sin. If we are to succumb to the temptations we must confess and be sorry for our sins. I believe that Conscience is also an influential key topic as it helps us to avoid evil by giving us a moral faculty where we may make our decisions, given that we are properly taught and educated about the true good and true evil.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
-The Gospel tells us not to discriminate someone or condemn because of their sins and that we should avoid hypocrisy. Human sexuality gives us relation to others by our gender, this does not mean that we should disregard and discriminate those in the LGBT community. They are still people and in God's eyes we are all equal, we should not condemn them for their sexual preference but only understand and respect them. The same goes for us condemn one another for our sins, God will always forgive us for our sins. We must following in God's footsteps of his ever-forgiving and ever-loving in our own small ways as this is how we can live a truly happy and meaningful life.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
We shouldn’t be judging others for who they are because we are all created equally in God’s image and we were made to take care and love one another in unity. To be forgiving, loving and caring to each other and everyone else would serve as our mission as we help each one grow. Accepting our mistakes is another thing also that should be considered because we are held accountable for the actions that we do.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Freedom and conscience apply here. Freedom is one because it is relational and this circulates around our respect for the freedom and dignity of another. Conscience since in the mistakes that we commit, this is where we have contemplation of what is morally right and wrong. Our decisions are formulated by these factors.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.

Immorality is that one thing that results from the unchaste things one does. Human sexuality is a sacred thing and it is something we shouldn’t distort real meaning from since this is a gift from God.

- As members of the youth, when people sin, we must think that all of us human beings are sinners. This implies that, if possible, treat fellow sinners with respect, especially that the sin had not really affected you.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
- Something that can be applied is Christian Anthropology, and that we must know that God forgives his people, therefore we should not act like how the scribes and the Pharisees wanted to and stone someone for sins such as what the woman commited.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
- The Sexuality of a person as well as the person him/herself, should be respected, however, we must be knowledgable of what our actions are doing, and that if they are sinful or not, yet through this gospel, Jesus teaches us a way of mercy and forgiveness that we should be aware about. Jesus can forgive your sins as well as the sins of the people you know have sinned.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
- We must learn to know that every one of us commit sin. This means that this does not give use the right to judge anyone. Only God can judge us for our sins. We must learn to accept that we are not perfect. Also, in the topic on adultery, there are many people who commit this sin and this is bad because it directly goes against e concept of marriage and chastity.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
- The topic from the revalida that may applied here is Christian Morality. We must do our best to live with Jesus as the center of our lives. We should follow his teachings and maintain a relationship with him. This may be done by praying and doing good things. Another topic that may be applied here is conscience. Before we judge others, we must first look at ourselves. Also, we must consult our conscience before we do something so that we may do good things.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY
- This gospel shows the true value of our sexuality. Human sexuality is a gift from God and we have to cherish it. If we follow the woman by committing adultery, then we are going against the 10 commandments. We should learn to control our sexual desires and we must be chaste. This may be done by not having sexual relations before marriage. This way we may live peacefully and we may follow what God told us which is to be fertile and multiply.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
This gospel shows how judgemental we can be. We always judge others immediately but we are always the last ones to judge ourselves. We must learn how to be humble in the way we live since we are all equal in God’s eyes.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
Christian Morality guides us live a good life as a Christian. It helps us mold the way we live in order for us to be a real child of God. We must first learn how to be humble and we do not have the right to judge others because it’s bad
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
This gospel shows that we are responsible for our actions and it is really bad to judge someone because you don’t know what they are going through and we just have to love them all equally as how God loves them. We should set Jesus as our example and live like Him.

ReplyDelete1. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF THIS GOSPEL IN TODAY'S SOCIETY PARTICULARLY TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE YOU?
- The gospel is about how a woman is being condemned because of committing adultery but is still forgiven by Jesus. Society has a way of shaming people commit scandalous sexual acts but they fail to see that they themselves make mistakes with the same degree just in a different manner. No one but God is absolute and everyone is fabricated with their own flaws and imperfections. Therefore we don't have the license to treat or see others as inferior because in God's eyes we are all equal.
2. WHAT KEY CONCEPTS FROM THE REVALIDA TOPICS CAN YOU BEST APPLY HERE.DISCUSS THOROUGHLY.
- One of the keys concept applicable here is morality because most of the time when we judge others we make the choice to think that we are better than them, thus committing actions that oppose them and degrade them. In addition, adultery is antithetical to the concept of chastity because it causes one to no longer be pure or loyal.
3. HOW CAN THIS GOSPEL ADDRESS THE OBSTACLES TO HUMAN SEXUALITY.
- The gospel shows the sincerity and mercy of Jesus when he forgave the woman who committed adultery. It comes to show that even if we sin or commit adultery, Jesus will always forgive us, even if we constantly hurt him. We should see this gospel as a message for us to repent for all the mistakes we have made and done to hurt Jesus.

1.) What are the challenges of this gospel in today’s society particularly to the young people like you?
Nowadays, teenagers tend to be so judgmental that they forget they are not perfect and they commit mistakes, just like everyone else. This is due to the environment they live in. They are being influenced every single day.
2.) What key concepts from the Revalida topics can you best apply here. Discuss thoroughly.
The Revalida is basically a way to conclude all the lessons we have learned. Given this, all of us have the freedom to do whatever we want to do but there are tendencies that we forget we have conscience. No one is perfect and we all have the ontological dignity that even though we commit mistakes, we are still human.
3.) How can this gospel address the obstacles to human sexuality.
Nowadays, Human Sexuality is being either a male or female. Furthermore, people tend to judge the bisexuals just because they are not who society expects them to be. We are allowed to love whoever we want to and we have to stop with the labels.

ReplyDeleteI believe that Pride is the root of all kinds of sin. Our generation is full of pride and we are afraid to admit our imperfections because this world of insecurities does not have the capability of trusting another human soul without admitting their embarrassing features or what is referred to as “true colours”. We are a hypocritical generation. A trait that we all have received from someone else that must have been a big influence in our lives not necessarily a parent or guardian.
I believe one of the topics that we used in revalida that could be applied to this passage is that sin is the greatest obstacle to true freedom because it shows us that we are easily tempted to hurting others especially with two factors which are: the person we are hurting is a sinner, and since everyone else is doing it, might as well do it to because our society is the norm that we all have to follow but we forget that as society fails us, God is still trying to encourage us and not bring us down or criticise us.
Everyone has the tendency to be a hypocrite that is blinded by the norm of society and there are those who cannot let go of the rules of the past or the “standards” placed by society. An example would be the LGBT community which is a revolutionising standard placed by such a minority of the world population yet gets so much support from those people who are willing to accept the beauty of change.
